Well I can almost guarantee it's because of Deryck's back. I don't know how long it will last though.
Nic and I don't know any thing else. I'm sure the band will post some news soon. If the tour is cancelled for a period of time, I will be running some events to pass the time

Well, I actually thought that's what they needed to do really... to cancel it until Deryck finally recovers so they would do a proper long tour without cancelled dates here and there, so I guess it's better to cancel the tour now instead to continue the tour with the chance that they would have to cancel a date here and a date there and disappoint certain fans. This way they're disappointing everyone now, but I guess they'll be back stronger with Deryck hopefully being in a good shape. Too bad they at least can't finish these South American and Asian shows they already announced.
The saddest thing I guess is for the Canadian fans. I mean, so sad is that the band promises a full big US and Canadian tour for such a long time and then they just need to cancel touring altogether without even doing a proper tour... I guess the Europeans had fun though on this SBM run.

Sum 41 has indefinitely postponed the remainder of dates on their Screaming Bloody
Murder tour for 2011 due to a medical condition Deryck Whibley is currently
undergoing treatment for. In order to fully recover, Deryck is under
doctor's orders to start a rehabilitation program and to recuperate for the
rest of 2011. This will make the cancelation of all upcoming tour dates
beginning in South America September 4th through Asia October 18th
necessary.
"We are all devastated that our best
tour yet has been interrupted." said Drummer Stevo Jocz " Our
band lives to be on stage and playing in front of our fans. We
never want to let anyone down but the most important thing right now is that
Deryck makes a full recovery so we can continue on next year . We’re working as
fast as we can to reschedule these dates."

mabye this isn't too terrible, if it means they come back fully fit I think it'll be worth it. New material gets wrote? GOB album finished? Theyll be craving performing live so the next tour will be fucking awesome, blessing in disguise I think

the bydwk music vid is kinda blowing up... it gained 55000 views in 1 day(which is a lot cause it was at 75000 views yesterday. and it gained over 5000 views in the past hour.
