i can see "Back Where I Belong" as a single. it's not an amazing song, but singles aren't usually the "best" songs on an album. i can just imagine hearing it on the radio.

they could either fade it out earlier... or just do nothing. radio usually just cuts off the last few seconds of fade out anyways, and it could be an interesting way to end the video... like the piano at the end of "with me", they didn't edit that out.

I think they would do something special with it. The effects are too long to keep in and I've tried fading it out but it sounds kinda stupid. Maybe if they had a pre-effects version of the song?

And yeah, I just noticed that. We should be getting it soon! I've never heard of a video being released 2 months after the single comes out.

Let's hope for the best that we're getting it soon.

Yes they did. The radio version had the piano ending cut out, and the intro was shortened a little.

The music video was made from the original song though.

Hope the video for SBM is out this week or next week max. I think the max it takes to finish a music video is like 3-4 weeks after the shooting, some are out earlier though.

you cut out the first part of my statement, i was talking about the video. if it goes on radio they usually cut it out whenever they want, or it fades into the next song. Example: this one radio station was playing Holiday by Green Day, but then cut to the news in the middle of the bridge. some dumbass thought it ended at "the governor of californa" part.

also, when i heard Screaming Bloody murder on the radio (2 different stations) they cut it out before the "these days are strange" ending.

Btw, the 8 Years Of Sake release had With Me without the piano ending. So there are three different versions, orginal, radio edit and Best Of version.

And yeah, SBM debuted on Finnish radio few days ago, and the outro was cut off too. I was so pissed, not about the outro, but the fact that the host said Sum 41 is just another pop punk band that is hard to recognize from the others like Good Charlotte and Rise Against. And that Green Day is the only band from that genre that is recognizable. Bullshit!
And the album is named after clearly the best song of the album. I'm sure he hadn't listened to it at all.

How can someone compare Sum 41 to those bands?

Sum 41 sounds completely different..

Sum 41 can be really heavy(almost metal), you can't really say that they're in the same genre as those bands.

They have this really special sound that no other band has...

does any of those bands have this kind of eclectic songs? I don't think so

Apparently, anything with an electric guitar and drums is one genre only.
