I find it disappointing that Rise Against's new album is getting better reviews than Screaming Bloody Murder from some of the reviewers. Endgame was so cookie-cutter.

No really, but how they can call themselves " professionials " ? But it's Rolling Stone, here in Italy last year they put on the front as rockstar of the year Silvio Berlusconi....

Yeah, I love Rise Against but Endgame was pretty bland with every song sounding the alike.

Yeah definitely. I love the band but it was the most disappointing Rise Against album ever! And it still getting better reviews than SBM which is original and a step forward for the Sums!

I think because Rise Against it's seen by the Media (Magazines,Websites) as a great band and all they put out is great, instead the Sums are seen as a funny teen pop punk band and they can't do anything else. Reputation is really important and the Sums have, generally, a " bad media reputation " .

Radiohead could release an album of Dolphin farts and it would get rave reviews.

Haha, this album is getting really mixed reviews. Others seem to like it a lot, while others say it's once again a typical sum41-record, with some rock-opera thrown in, and give it low scores.

Me too. They gave Chuck a 6.8.

Though they had a solid review of DTLI back in the day.

dbauer91, why would you link this thread on sputnik? I thought the comments portion of that review was dead. Certainly appreciate that.

~

Now they're commenting on stuff we've said. What did they really expect on a forum specifically dedicated to the band? They're arguing against what I've said as if what I posted on here is what I posted on their review.

There is a serious double standard with some of the posters on that website.

Response to somebody who had commented on Sum 41 fans' apparent dislike for the review:

"Angry kids discovered the internet and don't understand opinions that conflict with their own. Nothing new"

Four posts later, a response to somebody who likes the album:

"do real canadians even like sum 41? why would they even bother when they have billy talent"

Isn't the first quote a direct contradiction to the second one? It's okay to dislike Sum 41 and/or the album, as it's an opinion (correct), but when somebody does like the album, they get the response of quote #2? Am I missing something here? Why hasn't this guy (and the dozens of other posts) been called out like all of the other people who have given praise to the album?
