Well, it's not that bad. Today it's officially released in Japan so within a week they'll be in the top 5 for sure.
Make sure to check the different iTunes-stores as well. Legal downloading as almost as important as the physical copies.

Sum41.com listed Sums playing on Conan at some date, but it was later removed, and I didn't check the date the first time I saw it, so. I believe it's either not yet to be officially announced, or someone was just messing around.

same, I liked his UH look, it was like you said clean and casual. I liked in 06 when he wore regular tshirts with blazers too (which he does now to an extent). SBM era seems a bit messy, and the hats are awful but its what he likes right now. I feel like I've said this same statement in another thread.
I loved that EC star hoodie he wore all the time during Chuck/UH so much I bought one...lol
the UH era was the best era in terms of overall style.. best haircut and best clothing style.. 2009 was a great year.. as displayed in my avatar

Well, it was doing pretty well on ITunes for a good amount of time... but whatever. The number of copies it sells does not make an album.

Yeah well, we should persuade Deryck to do something even better than that.

Number 9 in Canada

I believe it will be higher in Europe with all the touring they've done last year; (here in Italy it came out only yesterday for a distribution problem)

OMG, WHERE DO YOU BUY THOSE?!?!?!
xd
here,
http://www.ecstar.net/shop.cfm
but they don't sell them anymore, I bought it in like 08. Mine has a hole in the elbow and I've been searching for a replacement, until then my grandma keeps sewing it. I swear it is the most comfortable hoodie EVER! Mine has targets on the back though, D's has a rib cage
in case someone doesn't know what I'm talking about: it says "I don't want to be like you"

I remember reading somewhere that someone had one of these hoodies! I very much liked it when Deryck wore his. He wore it like 24/7 haha! (so it seemed..) Love it. I think I went on the website and they had it on there but it said out of stock or something.

That perfectly demonstrates the difference of Dave's and Deryck's musical minds. For Deryck, the fun can just happen around the album with the guys while the album itself addresses the dark side of him, for Dave it has to be present in the music itself to be able to enjoy it over longer periods or time. It seems like he doesn't understand that particular kind of passion coming from insecurity and depression, because may be he is just a happier, more mature and secure person.
That doesn't make either one of them any less of a good person or less of a passionate musician, just too different for them to be happy in the same band while they are at such different stages in their lives.
It's unfortunate that as a result their friendship has pretty much faded away, or at least so it seems.

I think BYDWK, TFYTG and Skumfuk are pretty fun, but the album as a whole I guess it dark, but really the Organ Thieve's songs aren't "fun" so I dunno what he's trying to say, but like Simon said, they just think differently about music and its a shame their friendship was strained because of it.

yeah, its a shame, that hoodie was awesome. He still wears it, he has it on in that video of him setting the Squire on fire, haha

Of course you meant Squier, but the first thought I had was about Matt Squire, the co-writer for Baby You Don't Wanna Know, so I was like "I didn't even know we had some footage of Deryck and Squire".

He just said "needs more fun", so it's relative and I think it he was specifically relating it to what he thinks Sum 41 is/was or should be (always happy, making songs just for fun and rocking out). It's almost like he didn't want the band to grow up and change that much, because everything was great fun up to the early DTLI days. But that wasn't the direction Deryck wanted to go as a songwriter. I understand both sides and I have a hard time imagining how it could've worked with a side project or something.
The funny thing about it is, you would expect a heavy metal guy like him to be into DTLI and Chuck the most, while in fact that was the time he lost interest in the band and even his favorite song is Makes No Difference, one of the oldest songs, which had been around even before HHOP (I remember a demo version of it in their EPK videotape).
