Yeah, single is pretty close.

But Deryck stated in one of the last updates that the album will be released (the soonest) 3 months after it's completely done... So.. early August? I don't know, I'm still hoping anyway.

I think he said mid August at best.

But may be the album will be pre-released on iTuned or something.

That will be a strange thing imo.

But it's possible of course.

The Recording Process

Our band loves to play live. We love to play our music in front of people, which is why we sometimes tour for over a year consecutively. This new music is going to be rocking and badass to play in front of everyone. The creative energy is still flowing, and the songs are getting better and more badass. Tom Lord-Alge has breathed new life into the album, and we are all super excited. We wanna make this the best sum 41 album ever. Then tour, tour, and tour some more. Basically, we cant wait to play this new shit in front of you guys.

Yeah Heather? Not that I don't believe you or something, but re-do stuff will push things back probably.

Yeah, i mean, the album does NOT have to be finished to release a single, I'd assume. I say they put out the first single, and tour in support of that. Then release the album, and go on a world tour.

But that's just my logic speaking. The best way to go would be NOT to have this stupid tour, finish the album, release the single, tour in support of your upcoming release, then release the album. But what do i know, that's only how every other band does it.

Maybe they'll just release the album right after they finish the Warped Tour, to go on their own, personal world tour?

Single should be here quick though.

If they follow this trend, we should have a single within 2 weeks.

So, just so i can set my calender, and prepare properly.. We should have a new single before i get out of school? (June 8th.)

Well, the album would have to be done this month to have that even be possible, as Tomi said. But i dunno, i'm not sure if the album has to be done in order to release a single. I still hope they do release one before, or mid tour. :/

A single could be released right now to be honest, the whole album doesn't have to be finished for a single to be released. Some of the songs have been mixed so I really do think we'll hear some new tracks very soon. I'm going for June.

I'm not sure what this means! Are they saying they're gonna take a little longer to get this done, or are they just saying they love to tour, and after this album is finished, they're gonna tour the hell out of it? Which we already guessed.

EDIT: Well, in defense of Deryck, i'd hate to make something, and present it with still have these great ideas in my head to make it better. In fact, i dunno if i could.

Underclass Hero, the single, leaked on that podcast of some festival, and that was mid/end April. The official release date of it was around mid May.

Steve said we were getting music soon (to check back in a month or so) so I'm not going to get my self rattled up.
