If I'm not mistaken. If Man Utd do win in Europe. Doesn't that help with the country rating thing? Football Politics isn't my strongest skill by the way.

yes, but the Premier League are in no danger of losing a place in the Champions League so it won't really make much difference at this point. especially with 3 teams getting to the quarters.

it's the League Coefficient. it ranks the leagues within Europe based on how that leagues teams do in the European competitions (Champions League & Europa League) over the last 5 seasons. the scoring determines how many teams in said league qualify for the competitions. right now, The Premier League and La Liga are a fair way ahead of the other leagues (I think the Bundesliga are now in 3rd with Serie A in 4th, so soon Serie A will lose their 4th Champions League spot so the Bundesliga will have 4 Champions League spots).

How are those 4 spots divided into? Cause right now we have 2 safe and one quali spot. And do there still remain 2 Europa League spots or what?

it doesn't come into effect straight, I think it will kick in for the 2012/13 season. you will get 3 automatic spots and 1 qualifier spot. as for the Europa league, you will still get 3 spots, though if it's the same as here at least one of those spots is for the winner of the domestic cup. I don't know exactly how the Europa League placings work for the Bundesliga!
over here, we get 3 spots. 1 for 5th place in the league, 1 for winning the FA Cup and 1 for the League Cup. if the winner of the FA Cup has already qualified for Europe through their league position then it goes to the FA Cup runner up. if they have already qualified for Europe as well, then it goes to 6th place in the league. it's the same with the League Cup, though the runner up doesn't get it if the winner has already qualified, it goes to 7th place in the league. I'm guessing the Bundesliga works the same kind of way!
