I'm interested to see what they come up with, but I'm not too worried when it's supposed to come out. I didn't think American Idiot was bad, I just hate how it got so much attention.

Green Day is one of those really talented bands that gets overplayed on the radio and people start dissing them all over forums because of it, but then download the albums and secretly love them more than anything. I like Green Day, I always have. I've seen them twice and they put up a hell of a show. American Idiot was different, and definitely sounded like it was set up to be a radio album, but you can't deny that "American Idiot" was a rad song. It was one of the greatest songs of 04, and the album was definitely pretty well thought out. I'm curious to hear how they follow up on it, and as much as I wish they'd have taken less than 4, possibly 5 years to throw it out to the fans... I doubt it will be a letdown.

I wasn't much of a fan of the song American Idiot as I was of Holiday or Boulevard of Broken Dreams. The solo to American Idiot and Underclass Hero sound really similar too.

I liked Holiday more than American Idiot. AI was an ok album. But Dookie is their best, imo.

hopefully all the hype among little 10 year old "punk rockers" is gone, and green day can go back to being an alternative band... they should release another insomniac, thatll scare the posers away
