I actually have 2 little pieces like that. I didn't have to buy either one though. They came with things. It's a must for recording.

It's not a must for recording, I just use an audio interface.
Besides, isn't is better quality if you record from your amp using a microphone?

15 dollars for a little pice? u can get those at my dollar store...
wat i do is i use 1 of those--plug my guitar into my awesome amp
then plug another wire from the headphone jck 2 that piece 2 my computer
sounds awesome
