Never use UG for learning songs, or only use it to have an idea of the song or a base.
You should listen it and try to play what you heard.
That is the way I learned that and more of sum's songs.
I'll post a cover of The Hell Song soon..

have you considered that not everyone can do that? especially if they just started? just tab them out for him if you feel that you're Mr. Amazing.
you have far too much time on your hands

Yeah, maybe it's not that he doesn't have the skill to tab it by ear but he just couldn't be bothered. That's how I feel about tabbing. Its way too tedious. The only time I find out something by ear is if there is absolutely no tab of it on the net.

I get exactly what deryck94 is talking about.

a lot of the tabs are wrong,, but they're close. full aroud with the tabs they have, like switch things aroudn. if something says do it on the bottom three strings, try it on the top three. it works for me.

Or if they are playing bass and can't hear the bass too well in the song?

Sometimes, Deryck put his guitar in one speaker, so you can use your sound manager to use only that speaker, and you'll hear it better.
Also you can rise the bass.

Well I don't know how to do any of that.

hell song solo is easy enough to listen and learn. its just unison bends and hammer ons and pull offs. and its based around the g and b string.

this is off topic but here's a cover of the hell song by my band. the singing is beyond terrible but guitars are ok. i did the 1st solo in one take, was really rushed. there's also a 2nd solo at the end if u can bear to hang on...its a pretty gd one cos im not playing it, the singer/guitarist is playing it lol
