Signing in automatically?

I have my profile set to sign me in automatically when I come on the site.

For a long while it did that.

Now it doesn't, even when I reclick the thing when I sign in again.

Is that the site, or my computer somehow?

I was thinking it may have something to do with cookies...but...no other sites are not remembering my settings, and I haven't done anything to them...and I doubt my boyfriend even knows what they are, and we're the only ones who use this computer...

it didnt sign me in automatically yesterday actually. thats the only time its happened to me though, from what i can remember anyway

It always signs me in automatically when I use the computer in the basement. But when I use my laptop and sign in, then use the computer in the basement and come on here I have to log in.

depends on your browser.
safari never signed me in automatically,
firefox always did
IE sometimes

its probably something to do with how it stores cookies or for how long
or it might be site servers failing to store the cookies
never mind, it isnt much effort just taking an extra click

in IE most of the times its automatically, but once in a while , maybe the cookies reset or something, and it doesn't, but then it sings me again and works fine for a long time.

Hm. After about a week of having to resign in every single time, even while clicking the automatic thing each time...it now seems to be back on track.
