Guitar Pro 5 is messed

i go on it but i cannot play the song. it plays that gay little tune when you start it up but when i want to play the song, theres no sound :( . can anyone help? and my WMP works just fine. GP5 is the only audio program that doesn't work.

i don't think i did anything to alter the audio settings, but does anyone know how to fix it?

Is it Guitar Pro 5 or 5.2?

i really don't understnad why it would just simply stop working.

im gonna try completly removing it from my computer and re-downloading it.

EDIT:

i figured it out. i had my SW Synth muted on my windows volume configureation control.
