DTLI was my marathon album. Front to back, end to end, probably every single day at least once...
*sigh* The good ol' days...

Chuck is the album that broke me from loving Sum 41, unfortunately...
I think I only listened to it maybe 3 or 4 times all the way through, and it was because I forced myself to, right after I bought it haha.

Sure, there are a few songs with amazing face-melters...but overall, the album is weak.
The only songs I can stomach are We're All To Blame, The Bitter End, and the last like, minute of 88 (minus the Linkin Park-esq ending). All three of which I absolutely LOVE.
And actually, sumfan, I make up my own mind. I don't like or dislike things simply because Dave likes or dislikes them.

maybe Steve doesn't like it cause theres no much for drums? it sounds all just pounding, no really rolls or catchy melodic stuff. im not really fond of The Bitter End either. it just sounds like that same generic metal music you hear on Sirius Hardattack or Octane. i love the guitar solos though..

Ever hear the Metallica song "Battery"? Listen to it...and then listen to "The Bitter End" again...NoReason27 wrote: im not really fond of The Bitter End either. it just sounds like that same generic metal music you hear on Sirius Hardattack or Octane. i love the guitar solos though..
I still enjoy both songs, but yeah...blatant ripoff.

I only hear some similaritys in the beggining. it sounds like The Bitter End slowed down, and a bit somtime later. nothing really though. Again, Sum pwns all these bands. Even Metallica. infact, i think Metallica are one of the worst bands i;ve ever seen.Asho_DirtyPoo wrote:Ever hear the Metallica song "Battery"? "Battery"?
If a ripoff already, it should be off Metallica's "Through the Never"?
But The Bitter End is actually better cuz in Metallica's song its just a cool riff where nothing happens, nothing special that really makes it good, except the riff, but i seriously don't care.
And How can u not like songs like Noots, Pieces, No Reason and Welcome to Hell in CHUCK?
i'm fuckin' surprised!
Noots and No Reason are two of the best!

I'm not going to fight with you about it. But the songs sound very similar, and The Bitter End was definitely inspired by Battery.sumfan wrote:I only hear some similaritys in the beggining. it sounds like The Bitter End slowed down, and a bit somtime later. nothing really though.

I hate Peices. A lot. In my opinion, it's whiney and emo.
No Reason and Welcome to Hell are mediocre to me. I don't hate them, but they don't do anything for me either.
