Email notifications on TNS???

Post by CALKing »

How does email notifications work on There's No Solution? Since the very first day I registered an account here on TNS, I still haven't found a way to subscribe to topics. Or to subscribe to a sub-forum. Or to turn on all TNS notifications. For a while I even though that TNS may not be able to send emails or doesn't support subscribing to topics, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case.

It's pretty annoying to have to open the website 10-15 times each day to see whether something new has been posted or not, so please tell me: how can I subscribe to receive email notifications when something new is posted on TNS?

As far as I know (being here for many many years)... You can't.
Too bad, really.

I can confirm that we haven't implemented that feature. Can't say for sure if it is even on the cards.

This site is more of a museum now than anything else. So I wouldn't expect it.

I'd love to see a refresh...

I think if taken the time to renew TNS and integrate it with social media better so that we can have all Sum 41 things in one place would do more than enough to keep the site relevant.

I don't know if the guys behind the site even care anymore?

^this

I think one of the biggest problems (for me at least) is the fact that the site is not optimized for phone screens. I only ever use my pc/laptop for work nowadays while the majority of my online "surfing" happens on either my mobile phone or my tablet. And TNS simpy does not work properly there. Kinda sad really. This used to be such a fun place.

So true. This website isn't mobile optimized at all, and that really is a shame. I think this site should best be remade from scratch, but with mobile compatibility so people would actually start using it again.
Cause just as you say @Ardi41, it's 2019 now. Almost nobody browses websites on their PC/laptop :/
