I am glad that this album is getting some of the recognition it deserves from super/casual fans alike. They should definitely get a Grammy nod for this one.
Now they just need one more single and video to really bring it home.

Re: Chart Success (13 Voices)
I thought it was "just" on #9

Nevertheless, I'm glad it got some reception. As I said in another thread before, #9 in Germany is their highest peak ever over here, but the "hype" will not hold that long. War gets close to no reputation, haven't heard or seen anything of it yet. 13 Voices is down to some #50 in its second week and I don't see it in the charts three weeks from here. The venues they will play here next year are quite deep in the alternative scene, most of the times capacities of 2-4 thousands. (When Billy Talent gets to play here they easily sell out to more than 10k)
I guess the announcement of the European tour still pushed the sales a bit as well as the low price and the fact that Green Day and other familiar bands have released their records at the same time.

It’s like sounding really nice, having a good feel, that’s all about the guitar.
That’s what I care about. I’d rather be a better strummer than fuckin' jizz all over the fuckin' fretboard...
