I'm not sure where this "Sum 41 is rich" mentality has come from. Sure, Deryck has hell of a lot of money, but I don't think that's the case with the rest of the band. Especially Tom, who hasn't been credited in the album making excluding the SBM single. So I don't think he would just pick new guitars just like that.

Even though if Tom would have tons of money,
there is no reason to waste it on an accident caused by the company. And now it's also acknowledged by the company. So they should take responsibility as a company.
I don't know what you Europeans do when youre luggage gets damage, but in North America there's usually nothing the victim can do. Unless they rip the airline out on twitter, apparently.
