Wow!
I haven't really grown up listening to these amazing artists but i have to say this is pretty cool! I can imagine it being very unexpected as well.

Now I just wish the world could just get over the beatles! I mean, I know that they basically started rock and roll as a form of pop- for that I respect them.
McCartney is not the best bass player in the world, in fact he's nowhere near that. But of course society deems him "The Bass God Of Rock" just because The Beatles became the ultimate "shrine" of modern rock. I mean guys seriously- If The Beatles weren't the first ones around then would ANYBODY really care about them? There music is DECENT!! Yes, it paved the way for the generations of rock- but all in all, they are simply just basking in undeserving glory and worship from society that they do not deserve.
Society kisses their asses SO hard it's actually annoying.
Even as I was typing this thing I spelled McCartney wrong accidently, I went to auto correct and "McCartney" is in the auto correct dictionary!! The Beatles got waaaaaaay too famous. How far is too far? WAAAY TOO FARR
. And if you thing McCartney is a great bass player- I personally feel sorry for you.

Re: Nirvana w/ Paul McCartney
I gotta stop you right there. Not only is he a great bass player, he is also a godlike songwriter. It's allright if you don't like him, everybody has a different opinion and taste but saying that he is no great bass player is stupid. Do you really think one has to "jizz over the fucking fretboard" to be good ?cladam41 wrote: And if you thing McCartney is a great bass player- I personally feel sorry for you.

Never said that. In fact I agree with your last statement. However the sound that McCartney gets out of that pieceashit hofner bass sounds like absolute trash to me!Ardi41 wrote:I gotta stop you right there. Like it actually sounds like he's plucking rubber strings strung across a dead goats organs. You can't even hear his articulation! The tone is shit and he doesn't know how to hold up the band like a bass player should. That's why all their music sounds almost "hollow" I've heard plenty of songwriters that write a hell of alot more complex than The Beatles ever did!
The band is decent- Obviously they are going to have fans which I don't mind. But it's a problem if I could walk into a fucking music store and buy a "Beatles" Mug for 8 dollars!!!!

Top comment on Youtube sums it up perfectly.
I feel like Paul McCartney needed to stop "rocking" decades ago. At what point do you look in the mirror and say: HEY I'M FUCKING 82 AND STILL DYING (whats left of) MY HAIR ORANGE.. WTF IS WRONG WITH ME?
Should have hired this guy instead and put a picture of Kurt on the big screen behind them:

Adam, calm the fuck down. Let people have their opinions and stop being such a whiny little child about it. and I hardly think ANYONE really believes McCartney is the "best" bass player, or a "god". he's only ever near the top of lists because of the influence the Beatles had. And their music sound hollow because in that time recordings were only ever 4 tracks. They were just getting into 8 tracks when they were near the end of their career.
i don't expect you to change your mind, you'd have to go back in time to truly appreciate what the Beatles have done.
as for the song, i can't tell from that shitty cam recording whether i like it or not, but that Sound City movie looks great. Can't wait for more awesome collaborations like this!
