Happiness Machine would actually work perfectly with that kind of arrangement? I don't know if it's because it sounds fresh but it could be even better that way. Definitely wouldn't fit the album of course!

There's something about this album I always think: Deryck said that this album came naturally, and most of the songs were done pretty quickly, but when I listen to it I'm more like "Wow they put so much time, so much effort in these songs", because I think the production is amazing. I believe it's a good thing Deryck produced it, because the songs sound exactly like how he imagined !

Not to mention, about 400 posts were solely posted on the release day/release week of SBM.

Hell, maybe even I'll read this thread sometime again. It'll remind me of the excitement for the album that I have for the upcoming tour!

I'm sure some have seen this performance and interview on TV back during DTLI era but for those who haven't, here's a new upload I found on Youtube of The Sums on Last Call with Carson Daly:

I still wish they would have released the London, Ontario show in this quality, the guitar sound is so good, and Dave adding small parts about everywhere makes the song sound so much better.

this is pretty badass.. and i know this might sound kinda fan-boyish, but i really do like them the most in their current state of show, appearance, and sound, even more than how they were during the chuck era

Thats the thing I don't like, you do but i don't. It's cool but the sound during Dave's time was so different, I don't know why the decided to change it to a more "soft?" feeling to it.

I mean this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWann580B2Y
compared too this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gM6DF2YNk5M

dafuq is all I can say. When I listen to "Happy Live Surprise" and "Sake Bombs and Happy Endings" CDs and compare it too the "Live at the House of Blues" it feels so different and not the same. I still like it, but the old days were better. Maybe it's just me getting older and I don't want things to change. But I agree with the comment a few steps above me, I wish the had released the "Happy Live Surprise" hole set in good quality. To bad the crowd was so bad, guess thats one reason they didn't wanna do a full release.
Sometimes I can't help think that I have you right behind me all this time
If only you could have a chance to see
All the happiness you gave to me

Now you're being unfair. EVERYONE knows that their sound SUCKED from 2007 to 2009. Resident Skumfuk said he prefers the CURRENT sound to their Chuck era sound. Their sound got WAY better when they started touring again in 2010, so don't use their 2008 show as a comparison.

I wish they would have released it as a DVD still. Some of the best performances are from there. (No Brains, anyone?!)

That's not how it works, those videos are suggestions based on the videos you watch etc. You're probably the only one who sees it.
