I went to see my friends' band play and there was this opening band where the lead singer played a Deryck Whibley signature Squier!

If the signature Squier was actually a modified '72 Telecaster Deluxe it would be much better. That guitar is already quality with stock parts for only $700 or so, so another $200 or $300 for being a signature model wouldn't be that bad. However, I can see how ridiculous it would be to pay $700+ for a guitar with one knob and pickup from the frontman of a band that was most famous for songs that came out 11 years ago. I'm not knocking Sum 41, but seriously, that's what the rest of the world would think.

I <3 Squier. They make the best shit. I actually think some of their higher quality models are better than Fenders!

A Fender MIM is poop. Just throw it in the garbage....OR use it as a doorstop.
