So Sums would probably have one more record with Island? If the Cleveland live album counts, they've had 6 studio albums + 2 live albums + 1 greatest hits compilation, so that would be 9 records altogether, excluding the DVD releases.
I think, I forgot how many Steve said the contract was for. I think Island has worked for them well in the past, but lately they're all about the R&B or Foo Fighters, and forget all about the Sums
10 would be a good number. But not sure if other releases (DVDs, EPs) would count aswell.
And yeah, Island has been good for them until the SBM era. They so much extra material released along with the studio albums (bonus discs, CD singles), and the music videos and promotion were well done aswell.
We can only guess why their approach towards the Sums changed so drastically. "Rock is dead" can't be the only reason, since Foo Fighters is still going strong.

Foo Fighters have their own label but are distributed by RCA.
Well they do have Bon Jovi and The Killers aswell but i gte what you mean. And Foo Fighters used to be on Capitol before RCA so i don't know where you got Island from.
And for a new label for them they should probably go for Epitaph if they're going to an independent label ocr Interscope if they're gonna go with another major because they have ALOT of great bands on their roster.

This. We can't judge him only by the pics and vids. We don't know him.
Yes i hate when people judge Deryck by what he does in his vids and pictures
well, why DOES he have to act like a unhealthy little prick then? like, if i saw him walking down the street and i didnt know him, i'd be quite scared. I Just miss the UH era deryck,
Its what he does on the tour Vids. If they took random vids of his everyday life not on Tour i would assume its not the same
yea, im sure. But in the UH era...he wasnt like this. Hmm, probably just to impress Avril
Well his life has changed a lot since UH
worries me....
yeah but look at the footage from the chuck era, for example road to ruin episode #2. back then deryck was drinking excessively too. i think he never changed his general behaviour on tour.

He did.. he never drank before a show during the UH era.. he shows up drunk on stage regularly nowadays
why is it always who seems so happy to be friends with Deryck ? I personally think that Deryck still hates her as a friend, but loves her as a woman, wife
This is Mark Allen Hoppus. He likes long walks on the beach. This, this is travis barker. He likes to be read poetry just before sunset. And me, I like to stick small pieces of furniture up my butt.
I spy on my dad while he is taking a shower just like everyone else
Mark: Sometimes when I talk in 3rd person i end up calling tom mark
Tom:Yea than he starts touching me and i think thats masturbation
Some people think were idiots or perverts dont argue were both.

who knows what I was thinking there, lol I was probably thinking of Bon Jovi, I dunno.
hey guys, I think I'm going to try to send that Deryck Q&A again, anything you want me to add?
so far its about: the loose production, choosing "Crash" for the album, HIOL's diversity, the "I don't believe in ignorance" lost song, and acoustic versions.
I have one about Matt Squire on there, but thought about ditching it

Keep the Squire there. Interesting to know how D came up with Baby.
Also, possible setlist shuffling? Has he thought about bringing back some older songs for the next tour?

So what happened to that?
What happened to what? Heather posted this three days ago. Do you really expect something to be done in only three days in the Sum world?

Yeah i'm curious about the setlist for their 2012 tour. Cone already told Tomi back on the Euro tour that they been rehearsing 88 in its whole again so it'll be good to see it. I think there was talks to bring No Brains too? Last time it played was on the Eastpak tour in 2010.
