What do you think is Dave's best solo from when he was in the band?
I've been listening to Chuck lots recently, and am digging the fuck out of Some Say. It's not his most technical solo, but the tone and feel of it, and how it's placed in the song really do it for me.
I'm gonna say Some Say
Dave's best solo

Some Say actually sounds like a solo Deryck would make.fergal41 wrote:What do you think is Dave's best solo from when he was in the band?

That's a good point actually - either way I love it.HugoDisasters wrote:Some Say actually sounds like a solo Deryck would make.fergal41 wrote:What do you think is Dave's best solo from when he was in the band?

I think the Bitter End just sounds like a really cliché speed-metal solo. Technically his best would be the first solo in 88, I reckon.

Hooch, followed by The Hell Song.

Almost forgot about Open Your Eyes, that's one hell of a good solo imo!

Re: Dave's best solo
For the technical side of things, it would probably be The Bitter End. For actual character and attitude I think it's a mix between The Hell Song, Hooch, Reign in Pain, and WWVII Parts 1 & 2.

Re: Dave's best solo
The solo in Things I Want is also kind of badass but i hav eno idea if it's him or Kyle Gass who does it.

Re: Dave's best solo
Technically The Bitter End but basically it is pretty standard for a being a heavy/speed metal solo... so if talking about feel and stuff like that... Some Say or The Hell Song.
