How many of you knew the word "skumfuk" (or "scumfuck", to be exact) BEFORE hearing it from the Sums?
I had never heard of that word before, and to be completely honest, although I have a clue, I'm still not 100% sure what that means.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who heard it for the first time from the Sums.
What's your status?

the word was added on urbandictionary.com on April 22, 2005
and I didn't know the meaning till Sum 41 made a song about it as well, now I know it though ...
This is Mark Allen Hoppus. He likes long walks on the beach. This, this is travis barker. He likes to be read poetry just before sunset. And me, I like to stick small pieces of furniture up my butt.
I spy on my dad while he is taking a shower just like everyone else
Mark: Sometimes when I talk in 3rd person i end up calling tom mark
Tom:Yea than he starts touching me and i think thats masturbation
Some people think were idiots or perverts dont argue were both.
"i think we're gonna be one of those bands thats around forever and even makes records, even if noones buying them and using them for toilet paper...but we'll still make them because we'll be the best fuckin toilet paper anyones ever used...." - Tom Delonge
Bobby and Boni are from the UK, Sum 41 are from Canada, the word may have a totally different meaning in other location :)

No, I've never heard of it before and it seemed like it would be a working title because it was so odd. As far as the spelling goes, I think "Skumfuk" has never existed before whereas "Scumfuck" did. I read the Urban Dictionary description and it sound like you get drunk and ride trains. Apparently GG Allin was the original Scumfuck.
It's a cool word, Skumfuk, and it's ironic that Sum 41 fans call themselves that as the song isn't glorifying being a Skumfuk at all, haha.
"Never heard of that word before, but now I know the meaning" this.
For me , that i don't use english as the first language, Sum 41 lyrics were important to learn new words. But, for example, someone knows what Noots means ? I remember when the song came out, i asked to my english teacher and she didn't know the meaning LOL

Sum 41 have a few obscure song titles and a couple of made up words or slang I guess, Noots accorrding to the Urban dictionary means crazy, nuts or insane. I was never really sure of what the word Skumfuk or Scumfuck meant, it's obviously a derogative term and we're pretty noots fans if we want to be classed as Skumfuk's. Didn't Deryck want the song to be related to Hollywood and showbiz wannabe's? I think that's what he wanted it to mean for the song, and who he was aiming it towards, like drug users who think that's what it's all about. So basically the song is an ode to Charlie Sheen. We found it cool, so it stuck as a nickname.

My grandpa had a dog named Noots so that song title always reminds me of that, it was mean dog
The other day I was showing my sister the contest page and she asked how I came up with "skumfuk" lol But no, I hadn't heard of the word before the song

Good point

I heard of it before the Sums; just didn't know the meaning/cared enough. Regardless of what it really means, I like refering to Sum 41 fans as "Skumfuks"..
