Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
Finally bought the deluxe version of Neighborhoods - Yay, I can now post in this thread again! (I did wait a week, believe me it was hard, but I made it and didn't cave still til I had a copy in my hands)
Favourite tracks? After Midnight forsure! I knew it'd be my favourite when I first heard it live. Other close favourites are Snake Charmer, Kaleidoscope, This Is Home and of course, Ghost On The Dancefloor. Listening to Wishing Well again, and like it more and more aswell. Too many tracks to like! I just really like Neighborhoods. I was going in with not great expectations but I am VERY happy with the end result of the album. Much better than I expected. So catchy. It could easily be one of my top Blink albums!

Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
I saw them live yesterday at the Hollywood Bowl along with My Chemical Romance. It was their last show for the Honda Civic Tour, and both of them were amazing! Tom's playing a lot better live now, and his voice is back. And they're still telling jokes like they always do. Anyone else wonder what their kids think of them? I mean, Tom and Mark are in their late thirties, have a family and kids, and are still making jokes about masturbating.
Believe me, it's alright.
It's so easy after all...

Mark: Sometimes when I talk in 3rd person i end up calling tom mark
Tom:Yea than he starts touching me and i think thats masturbation
Some people think were idiots or perverts dont argue were both.

Yeah, I don't understand what's so terrible about it. It's kind of cookie-cutter generic, but it's not too bad. He really doesn't make the song any better than it would be without him, though.
I love Neighborhoods. LOVE it. That is all.

Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
I guess that's exactly what I can't stand about it, it basically has nothing original in itself, I also barely listen to any bands that came after 2000, except for maybe Brand New, Balance and Composure, TGA, The Hives, The Bridgeheads and a few underground bands, I mean, it is hard to find something worthy in music nowadays, and I don't wanna spend time searching all over the music industry when I have originality and good music assured in the old bands like the Velvet Underground, Joy Division or The Beatles ... and there is still enough good old bands that I don't exactly know all about, and it seems easier for me to find a good old band than to find a good new band ...Big Sean wrote:Yeah, I don't understand what's so terrible about it. Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
My friend is obsessed with Tonight Alive and she knows how much I love Mark and blink so I think this is so cool. The song is pretty catchy too! I wonder how they made this happen. I mean, Tonight Alive are just getting out of AUS pretty much and are heading out on a NA tour with blessthefall headlining so it's weird that someone like Mark is on one of their songs.

Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
Not sure when Part Two begins... I think Saturday Love? Anyway, that song sounds like the most interesting one, though near the end it sounds like it kicks in with the same guitar sound that's been in their last few albums. I lot of AvA is hit and miss with me, some songs will get stuck in my head and I'll listen to them for a couple of weeks and then forget about them form the rest of the year until I remember "Oh yeah, I used to like this song, I wonder if I still like it as much as I did back then!"Tyler. wrote:No one else has opinions on this? That Tonight Alive song is okay. It's a catchy song, but like Kyle said, it's so cookie cutter. It's also super saturated in poppy-sounding punk. It's too "sweet" for my ears, if that makes any sense, haha.

Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
Yeah Saturday Love is the start of the 2nd part, I agree that it sounds the most interesting as well. That intro's the most original sounding thing they've done since the first album, but as you said it leads into a typical AVA riff lol..
