For those of you that are part of the Call of Duty Elite beta testing, I created a Group Tag for us Sum 41 fans: Sum_41
Go to the "Connect" page. Under the "Your Group Tags" section type "sum" into the "Create a Group Tag" window (white box on right side of page) and select "Sum_41" from the autofill choices. Click on "Add It". It will say that this group tag already exists and ask if you'd like to join it. Click "Yes" and you'll be redirected to the group page. See you there!

It is true though. Everyone always goes on about CoD but it isn't a patch on Team Fortress 2. The game is even free to play now. I'm gutted about I paid £15 for it. :-(Gregorovich wrote:I fucking love you.Boni Boy Blue wrote:Fuck COD. TF2 is wear the shit happens.

We vets who paid for it get bonuses over free players, such as trading, crafting, hats, and clans etc. Plus we're more awesome.Boni Boy Blue wrote:It is true though. Aw, I did not know that. I take it the free users have the option to pay for this though.Gregorovich wrote:We vets who paid for it get bonuses over free players, such as trading, crafting, hats, and clans etc. Plus we're more awesome.Boni Boy Blue wrote:It is true though. Elite is free right now, but you have to request an invite from their website. I'm certainly not paying extra for it when it launches for real!

Re: CoD Elite Sum 41 Group
You don't have to pay for COD Elite. And I also don't see the difference in paying for Elite from paying for an online game like World of Warcraft. You're playing the game you are addicted to, while also having access to each individual feature that the game can offer. By paying for elite, you're just giving yourself bonus features to a game that you already love.
But again, you don't HAVE to pay for it. It is not necessary. Paying for it only gives you extra features that a free user does not have.

Re: CoD Elite Sum 41 Group
CoD is a videogame which you simply buy one time only and play unlimited (like most games). Now while I have nothing against games which require a few pounds a month to play, I think it's pretty low of them to charge extra for this stupid program which should be free but costs money because Activision KNOWS loads of people play CoD competitively and would therefore be almost forced to buy it. EA took one look at this CoD Elite 'thing' and called bullshit - so they release their own for free. Simples!Mothafucking Monster wrote:You don't have to pay for COD Elite. Re: CoD Elite Sum 41 Group
The only game I subscribed to was World of WarCraft but after my year was up I never re-newed since I done most things and wasn't really into raiding that much. That's when I moved to Guild Wars which i still play today. Call of Duty does seem like the game is just getting milked nowadays but I don't play it because I'm not into realistic shooters. Re: CoD Elite Sum 41 Group
People that play COD competitively aren't being FORCED to buy anything. They have GameBattles, and still will when COD Elite comes out. You can still access quite a few Elite features without buying it, as far as I've heard. All Activision has done is realize how to make money. Activision isn't forcing you to purchase Elite. You just have the option to do so. As far as I've seen, the features included in elite are statistics, clan groups, map pack priority, and competitive games.Gregorovich wrote: CoD is a videogame which you simply buy one time only and play unlimited (like most games). You can get a good amount of those statistics without a paid subscription, I'm in a "clan" so I know that it's possible to locate a clan without joining it on Elite, and you have GameBattles, FraggedNation, etc. that are a solid way to throw together competitive games. The only thing to worry about thus far for anyone playing the game is the map packs. I'm not sure how those will be dealt with.
Point is, if you want elite, you can buy it. If you want what is included with 60 dollars, you can get the same Call of Duty experience you're used to. If you have the money and feel like experiencing more, spend your money on elite.
