No need to spread the same topic to several threads.

So, I got in my dad's fiance's brand new car for the first time yesterday. She was bragging about how sweet her XM radio is, and how nice the car was in general. The first thing I notice after she turns on the car is that there's some obnoxiously familiar song on the radio.

That song, my friends, happened to be Jessica Kill.

I guess this car was pretty good, amirite?

Has anyone else heard Jessica Kill on the radio? Is that the new song they're promoting via radio? Am I just s00pur luckeh?
And I know I said I needed space,

but I know I can't be comfortable in my own skin.

So when I say I'm scared to be alone, you know I mean it,

I'm just not ready to leave my room.

Is that even aloud to be played On radio Stations? I thought only the Mainstream songs go played

Sum 41 plays on the "rock/alternative" radio station pretty frequently (well, not like... every 5 minutes like an MCR song would, but they get decent radio time on those stations) because they DO make fairly mainstream "rock" music.

Something else I've noticed is that with the influx of metalcore music getting loads of attention, you're starting to hear even a heavier sound being broadcasted on your new-rock/alternative stations. I know, personally, that the local FM station here, the one some of you remember premiering SBM, 89x has played I See Stars' "I Am Jack's Smirking Revenge", We Came As Romans "To Move On Is To Grow", DRUGS "If You Think This Song Is About You, It Probably Is", as well as other DRUGS songs, and A Day To Remember's "All I Want" as well as some song off Homesick.

my point is, those artists are less radio friendly than Sum 41 because they all scream and play breakdowns. Those bands are beginning to get spots on late-night TV. Asking Alexandria and I See Stars both played Jimmy Kimmel in 2011. "Mainstream" is such an interesting term.

The station they were played on yesterday is a "metal" XM station, I believe. I can't be positive. I wasn't controlling the radio.

I see. I guess the Radio Stations I listen to play the "Mainstream" type bands more often. Like I hear a Sum 41 song maybe 3 times a day. And was kinda disappointed that Up all Night Was played like every 5 minutes and No sum 41 Songs. It says its a rock Station but the Music they play Kinda Contradicts that. I don't get to many Straight Rock and Metal Stations so I guess I hear different Music

This guy has a new video with a song we should all know and love. Not as good as Jessica Kill but still very good.

South Africa show streaming live? Or what is this?
http://www.facebook.com/Sum41?sk=app_196506863720166

Currently it doesn't air anything, but Sums will start at 5pm EST / 10pm UK time (so in 3 hours).
Anyone knows anything about this?

EDIT: Now it says "Next up: Lark (Electro set)", which is set to start in 10 minutes. We'll see how it goes. Although this Lark band plays on a different stage than Sums.
