Re: Rocking the Z - Matt-card giveaway
Wow, Tomi, it seems like you had an awesome time with the band! That's cool!
And like always, you bring us some cool info! cool to know there are more b-sides floating around like Pla and Like Everyone Else... did you happen to ask Deryck if these songs are ever gonna see the light of day?
I mean, Pla is less interesting IMO (UH b-sides weren't good), unless it's that Cone song that was left unmixed from the UH sessions which could be interesting, but Like Everyone Else could be very interesting to hear... anything else recorded during the SBM sessions will be good.
I mean, it sucks that an album that was recorded during such a long time and Deryck wrote so much songs for it, and in the last minute they recorded even more songs for it (TFYTG and Baby) so that means a lot of unused songs and we only got one bonus track.

Re: Rocking the Z - Matt-card giveaway
which part of the sentence: ''most of the people I wanna meet are dead'' implied that he is supposed to be dead ?blackhawk1105 wrote:Nelson mandela isn't dead..
edit: sry, I didn't really see that he was asking only about the dead ones, but all in all, Nelson probably won't live long enough for me to meet him anyway

So, it seems like we will be getting Like Everyone Else afterall, but as an Operation MD song instead.

This was a great read! Just curious though, what's with the working titels bit? Are those just old titles of released songs, or beta versions?

Both. Some of the titles are the early versions of those songs, some are the final products but with an old name. Only the band knows.Vash15 wrote:This was a great read! Just curious though, what's with the working titels bit? Are those just old titles of released songs, or beta versions?

Re: Rocking the Z - Matt-card giveaway
Huh, so how'd we find out about them? Were they just passively mentioned by the band over the years, or were they on tentative tracklists? (Sorry if I seem a bother, I have a thing for B-sides and betas)TomiT14 wrote:Both. Some of the titles are the early versions of those songs, some are the final products but with an old name. Re: Rocking the Z - Matt-card giveaway
Mentioned over the years, mentioned in interviews during the recording processes. And then there was this huge site with all the song copyrights for the authors. Some of those songs were listed that we hadn't heard before.Vash15 wrote:Huh, so how'd we find out about them?
