Re: Sum41/SBM Discussion!
BYDWK or TFYTG are for me very radio friendly, they are catchy, not too long and they sound just like they were mixed for the radio.

Re: Sum41/SBM Discussion!
So, here's my reasoning. Skumfuk was released earlier, so that won't be a single.
Reason To Believe (not radio friendly, no catchy chorus and too long outro)
Time For You To Go (too similar with Baby)
Jessica Kill (too hard for Deryck's vocals to be performed regularly)
A Dark Road Out Of Hell (too long as a full song, and I don't think they would pick only one part)
Crash (like Best Of Me in UH, a nice slow song, but most likely won't be played live, too calm for radio use)
Exit Song (do I need to say anything here?)
So, that leaves us with What Am I To Say, Blood In My Eyes and Back Where I Belong as potential singles.
BIME was released earlier, and the band has talked about it being an upcoming single, plus some of the radio stations have already played it, so I think it's the best contender for being the third single. What Am I To Say has also been played, and it's very radio friendly too. So that would be the other option for the next single.
Back Where I Belong would probably stay as a fan-favorite rarety, just like No Brains and 88.

yeah, definitely but I think ideal radio friendly songs are BYDWK and TFYTG.. or What Am I To Say, but I don't want it to be a single.Mike wrote:i could picture hearing Back Where I Belong on the radio

Re: Sum41/SBM Discussion!
It's far too traditional and rocky to be LP. Even the intro (The part I guess you're referring to) doesn't have the same guitar sound LP use - there is a minor resemblance to MTM but that's it.Lars wrote:Uhm ya.Gregorovich wrote:No.Tyler. wrote:it has a Linkin Park vibe.

Um, it doesn't have to be exactly the same, that's why it only "resembles" it, not "is" it. It sounds less like LP than some Chuck songs but still sounds like them.

Never seen people talking about a GD comparison, thought that was only UH haha which is all Green Day-ish. Haven't heard any GD on SBM thoughGregorovich wrote:I honestly don't see it. Lots of people compared BIME to GD, which is BS. Sum 41is nothing like GD. I can't even see a resemblance in UH. Re: Sum41/SBM Discussion!
Hmm, well, the bit after the very first intro is kinda something GD would do, but it's not enough to compare it to GD really.
UH is heaps like GD though, so much of the guitar work sounds exactly like AI. March of the Dogs could well be GD... lol

Re: Sum41/SBM Discussion!
It's the same sort of thing as like the very end of Jesus of Suburbia, like last 5 seconds. You'll hear it if you listen to that but as I said it's not really close enough to draw a strong comparison or even think of GD while listening to the song, especially because of the mood of the songs. That's why some on UH are really similar to GD, cos they are similar styles/ideas/moods as well as similar guitar stuff
edit: the same sort of thing happens throughout all of Jesus of Suburbia. And btw all I'm saying is that's the only comparison I can draw that people would find, I mean I never thought of GD when I heard the song

when i fist heard BIME, i thought it felt a little like green day after the first intro. it's the same notes as the beginning of letterbomb.

I doubt so, unfortunately. The site says they will show Kaiser Chiefs (who have been listed with 1h30min stage time) at 9:30, while Sum 41 performs at 10:30.Ferdehh41 wrote:http://www.dasding.de/ext/specials/ssf/2011/
