It's illegal in the UK but I'm not to sure about anywhere else.

in Canada at least, you have to pay for registration for your car which can be monthly, or yearly, or we have a new thing where it is continuous and you can pay a bit of money every month automatically from your bank account. insurance is a different package all together, and it varies in price based on how old your car is or how good your driving record is. for example, if i get into an accident with my 1979 el camino, insurance will only cover about $1000 CAD of the damages if it gets totalled off, just because it is 30 years old. that package was only $450, plus $500 for registration for the year, so it was pretty cheap to get my car road legal in comparison to yours.

but this was a while ago and i can't remember the exact numbers, but its probably close.

You only have to register your car, and in doing that, if you crash into someone the registered insurance pays for their damage. You don't have to insure your own car though so like if I crashed I would have to pay for all the repairs

Well here's a pic lol, my band at a talent show back when we still had 4 people, had an asian drummer and the bass player didn't sing. This was our first performance, and there were 500 or so people there, I nearly shat my pants! It was so fun though
