KROQ said "when can we expect a new blink track?" and he said "July/august" so yeah since they said track I guess it just means a single or whatever.

They've been working a lot lately and there were some twitter posts which said "recording" so they're obviously past the writing stage in at least some parts of the album. I could see the album being out by this October or so if they keep up what they're doing atm.

Well, album's definitely not coming out in july/august, or then they wouldn't cancel the summer tour, but if we can have a single in july/august, let's hope for an album in september/october.

I never got angry about any of the delays, but I think it's been so long now that I've forgotten about it all. I still have all my old blink and if we ever get something new it'll be awesome, October-December wouldn't be too bad in my opinion. Once we get a release date the rest of the wait will seem like nothing

I almost don't want them to tour if the album isn't finished. The tour would just postpone the album and it'd be the 2009/2010 over again.

Well I have a feeling they're going to announce a tour supporting the album for the fall or something, cuz I guess the album will come out around september/october, so they'll probably announce a tour to coincide with that, and not like a tour that'll happen right now in the middle of recording.

Hello fellow humans in the UK and Europe. I understand your confusion and frustration at hearing the US tour announcement tonight. Here's what's up. This tour was booked ALONGSIDE the UK/European dates, a long time ago. We did NOT book the US tour after deciding to postpone the UK/European dates. The plan was to finish the album, tour the UK/Europe, and then come back for the US tour. We ran late on when we thought we'd finish the album, and unfortunately the time we needed made the first leg impossible.



Hopefully it's for the best, because some of the best work on the album is being done these past few weeks. Now there's a hard deadline for the album to be turned in, and it will be released during our US tour.



That's what's up. I get and share your anger at the postponement of the first leg of the tour. As we've said before, it wasn't a decision lightly made. At all. But don't think for a second that we decided to tour the US instead of the UK. It's not the case. For me personally, I can't wait to get back across the pond. With new songs and a new show.



And lastly, Chelsea Football Club rules. Those who disagree are just jealous, or something.

Damn, some of the European fans just don't understand. If they didn't cancel the first leg of the Europe tour the album probably wouldn't have been done until like next July, if that. And if they only cancelled one leg of the Europe tour then all the other people would've complained. It works out better this way.

They should be happy that blink has new material coming out and be happy for the people in other regions of the world. Besides, they have lovely youtube videos to watch made by the fans that went =D

Although I do sympathize with the regions like SA, Aussie, Asia that didn't get to see them =/

New Tom DeLonge interview =D

"These are our biggest shows yet," Blink's singer-guitarist Tom DeLonge tells SPIN. "Our last [reunion] tour was by far the biggest thing we've ever done and I think our new record warrants the growth of the band. You know, we've achieved so much more than we've ever imagined, so even if, like, three people show up for the shows, we'll say, 'Wow, that was quite a ride.'"

DeLonge says the band will be debuting new material at each date and that Blink's songs have a "stadium rock sensibility." "I don't want to spit out song titles, but the new stuff builds a lot more. The songs have intros, crescendos, and things that lend themselves to great lighting and loud volume. It's not orthodox punk at all."
