That pic to me always looks like he just fake-married his kindergarden girlfriend that he thought he would be together with for the rest of his life. He was forced to grow up so fast from 2000 to 2005 as they always are, it almost seemed like he became a kid again when he got together with Avril and wrote Underclass Hero. In a way that makes sense, because that was his first real relationship since he was in highschool and I guess it was pretty much the same for Avril. The whole marriage thing was just pre-mature and a desperate attempt of making up for the lost time if you ask me. But it obviously doesn't work this way.
