Re: Screaming Bloody Murder - The Reviews
Absolutepunk review is similar to the review they made for UH (i'm talking about the rating); i really like the Mind Equals Blow one instead Alt Press one is really poor, but well i think that reviews are only the opinions of one person; for this reason i don't really mind about that.

Re: Screaming Bloody Murder - The Reviews
How horrible they never get good reviews anyway, never have, Kerrang gave them 2 stars for live, I think the album will be great to be honest, I know am going to love some of it, I love all their music, I dunno why people compare them to Green Day or so so, sound nothing like Green Day or so so
after all it's fans album but there's something new there as well as new sound which new sound is bitchin'

Re: Screaming Bloody Murder - The Reviews
The problem with rock bands like Sum 41 and Green Day is that they have to keep making music in the face of a recent mainstream success. Like Sum 41 had AKNF, Green Day had AI. Then out comes something different and it appeals to a marginally different fan base- 21st CB, SBM. These albums are only reviewed by people who listened to the original hits and therefore will be biased against anything different. That is clear from every review I have seen so far- the album is being put down for diversity.
Oh, and it's so clear the interviewer has no fucking idea what theyre talking about.

How is "Blood in My Eyes" a filler track?

Re: Screaming Bloody Murder - The Reviews
Sounds like Sum 41 is getting crapped on for having oddly placed tempo changes and a bunch of ideas floating all over the place. In a way, the latter makes sense as the band (Cone) has said that if they liked a part of a song that wasn't going to be in the album, they just worked that certain part into an already existing song on the record (ie. Blood In My Eyes bass line at the bridge).
Even back in 2009 when Deryck was writing the EP, in one of the first updates he said something about "Breaking all convention" and "Fuck everything else, the past doesn't have to equal the future."
I get this feeling that the reviewers are just getting confused on first listen because they're used to songs that hold a steady tempo all the way through and if it's a heavy song, it's a heavy song until the end. I'm glad though, because it seems like the band is finally breaking the boundaries of their music.

Me to, hey Amin was Dark Road Out of Hell the title of the three songs? Or was it a lyric or something?Robbie wrote:I can't wait. SO STOKED!DW_60 wrote:My review http://www.sum41-france.com/index.php?s ... rom=&ucat=&

Re: Screaming Bloody Murder - The Reviews
I know he had the old one, but I was just wondering if there was any confirmation on it or in the actual lyrics that would point towards the 'Dark Road otu Of Hell' title being correctblackhawk1105 wrote:Nope.. he has a watermarked copy.. the one with the wrong tracklistingMetalMilitant41 wrote:Me too, hey Amin was Dark Road Out of Hell the title of the three songs? Re: Screaming Bloody Murder - The Reviews
Unfortunately the same can't be said for Linkin Park's new stuff, that album got high praise and it's crazily different from their successful style :/ That's diversity as a definition if you take a listen. Unless they just simply, completely SWAPPED fans...Gregorovich wrote:The problem with rock bands like Sum 41 and Green Day is that they have to keep making music in the face of a recent mainstream success. Re: Screaming Bloody Murder - The Reviews
In one of the reviews they mentioned "over now". Is that referring to Crash or that other slow song that sounds like it will suck total ass?
