I don't understand why they've given him a new contract! and I don't know why Fergie started with Berbatov either, considering he hasn't started a game in a while and Hernandez has been brilliant when he has played.

the title race is still Utd's to throw away for me, and I can only see Arsenal really challenging them for it. still a fair few big games left for all the top sides though.

So true, it was an absolutely bizarre decision. I read a rumour on Twitter today that United and Hargreaves will be announcing his retirement at some stage this week. Dear Lord

I agree, but I can really see Arsenal's season hinging on this Barcelona game. If they get embarrassed it could be too much to recover from mentally. One of their next games (if not their very next) is United in the cup. However, if they beat Barca, it'll be like there's never been a better time to play United. This is indeed the business end of the season.

Just a thought on Sunday, Jamie Carragher should not have gotten away with that. Nani's leg was decimated. Suarez looks to be the real deal, fantastic stuff from him. And this will likely be interpreted as double standards, but Rafael is a hero

I do hate Rafael, mainly because he reminds me Gary Neville, who I really fuckin hate! Carragher really was lucky to not get sent off, as soon as he made the challenge I thought he was off. but The FA/Premier League/whoever would of found it difficult to do anything after the game because of the Rooney saga the weekend before. imagine the backlash if they had punished Carragher but not Rooney!

and tonight is huge for Arsenal, this game really could make or break their season. a win would see them flying with confidence going into the FA Cip game with Utd at the weekend and into the rest of their leage campaign. but a loss, execially a crushing loss which Barca are more than capable of doing could really damage the team mentally. they really need to win a trophy this season to shut everyone up.

sucks about Hargreaves as well. he was fantastic in Germany and it's a shame for him how badly he's suffered since his move to England. regardless of club, always a shame to see a great player having to retire early for whatever reason.

Good points, to be honest I think United would have had a better chance at getting some points from Chelsea and Liverpool if Rooney had been banned and The Berb and Chica started up front (Fergie would also had to have not suffered a brain leak and started Carrick too, mind)

Yeah, I'm absolutely disgusted about the whole Hargreaves situation. He was an exceptional midfielder who contributed massively to United's double in 2008, as well as being England's best player at the World Cup in 2006. United's midfield wouldn't look half as piss poor with him in the centre and a fit Nani and Valencia on either flank.

and the red card,wtf ? XD I didn't hear the whistle as well ...but it's cool,I want to see Puyol in action,he's the best,and I am glad for Xavi's goal,he deserves goals !
btw : after the goal on 1:1 I kinda felt that Arsenal will get through,but the red card came and it was so funny :) Arsenal's defense with 11 men on the pitch wasn't nearly as cool as Inter's last year,and it was so cool to watch how they didn't know what to do when they're 10 XDXD they didn't even place a midfielder to their defense,they just continued on playing XD after the red card Barca could win like 10:1 XDXD

meaning : Arsenal is still tactically beatable by any team that wants to :)

well,the red card was unbelievable,in a match like this XD but still Arsenal sucked in defense so hard,that it is unbelievable that I still think that if there was no red card,Arsenal would get to the quarter finals ...because no matter how the defense is fucked up,with eleven men it was less fucked up and Arsenal also can score a goal :)

enjoyable game for me, Arsenal were fairly poor though. the red card was an absolute joke. if Barca want to win the Champs League this year though, they're gonna have to start finishing more of the chances they make. they will face stronger teams than Arsenal this year.

What could Van Persie have done to prevent his team's knock out? I mean have you watched the game? it was rated -18 due to the rape scenes in it, the better team won and got through, Arsenal fans should build a statute for Almunia, it could have been 8-1 without his brilliant saves.
