Although I love Skumfuk, I feel the same, but it's strange why it's the 3rd song on the album.

Why is that strange? I think it fits in pretty good actually. You don't want every song to have the same feel because then it would be a shitty album.

Yeah, I love Skumfuk. That's not what I meant
Matt said that Skumfuk almost didn't make the album, so...if it's not the best song for the band, why it's "on the top" of the album as song number 3?

I love it anyway and I find myself singing the song many times a day...more than SBM xD

the first songs on an album doesn't necessarily mean best, though i've always thought placing songs in later parts of an album doesn't give it as much attention because a casual listener might not listen to the whole album. i usually expect the first single of an album to be around the first few tracks of an album. though i actually thought skumfuk was going to be a later track too, but i'm fine with it being third.

deryck said screaming bloody murder was his favorite right? while most the others said they liked blood in my eyes. i kind of hoped they didn't release blood in my eyes so soon because now we have the 'best' tracks so it's almost like we can't expect anything better. but the favorite song of an album is subjective so everyone will have different opinions.

blood in my eyes was not what i expected though, and i feel like i have to listen to it a lot before i can get the melody of the chorus/verse in my head so i can imagine it when i'm not listening to it. i felt the same way about screaming bloody murder and that song had to grow on me before i really enjoyed it like i do now.

but i'm also kind of glad that reason to believe wasn't the track they decided to release because when the cd leaks/releases, we'd be starting the cd with three tracks that we already know.

I agree with you. The first song doesn't have to be the best, just something to get us pumped, such as No Reason. It gives a "We're back. Fuck you." vibe in the beginning. The first song doesn't have to be the best, but it should be pretty good, since that's what gets the listeners hooked. That's what got me to like No Reason so much. That, and the fact that it's generally an amazing song. :winkwink:
Believe me, it's alright.
It's so easy after all...

That's the exact feeling I had when I first listened to No Reason!

Yeah, they just tweeted this:
We apologize to our fans in Sydney tonight but Deryck has become ill and we are unable to play tonight. We'll be back to make this up!
I hope it's not too bad.

I wonder if it has anything to do with his vocal cords?

It's just the mic. When you turn up your volume you can still hear D singing
To be honest, I kind of thought that was a weak performance. Deryck didn't really seem on top of his game.
Like I said a week ago:
Simon wrote:As I am listening to SBM live again, I think Deryck will probably mess up his voice again soon or change something. The style of the vocals is so powerful throughout the chorus and it goes up to the same high notes as the original Over My Head bridge vocals, which he stopped doing live eventually (singing lower harmonic notes instead).
I remember during Chuck they said he had to cancel shows because of "blistered vocal cords." Sounded painful. I hope that isn't the case this time, although the chances of it happening again are quite likely.

I was really expecting What can I say? At some point in the song. Lol.
Also I really think Skumfuk should have been the last track. It is quite an epic song and I feel like the built up at the beginning and the soft, delicate yet optimistic outro makes it a perfect conclusion.

Yeah, though it depends how all the other songs are fitted together.
