Now when someone does a bit more effort on his/her performance, people prefer to hear a low quality version instead?

i like that you say 'trag-e-dee' instead of 'trag-e-dae' i dunno if you get what i'm saying. the way deryck sings 'tragedy' in the version we all know and love sounds different. if deryck sang 'tragedy' the way you did, i wouldn't see the similarity of this song to mcr.

If effects like reverb and processes like EQ and compression (in small doses) weren't used, every recording ever would sound like shit. They make a recording sound more complete, so why not?
As for the cover, it's sounding really promising to these ears. The guitar sounds really cool, that's how I'd imagine Deryck would play it if he was doing one of those radio shows.

Sounds awesome Nic! Can't wait to hear the full song! Like Lars, it's kind of how I imagined an acoustic cover of Skumfuk would go.

Very cool, Nic! Can't wait to hear the full version!
I like the way you made it slow and your, it has kinda folk-ish feel to it, which is cool. I would've done the same If I covered it. I actually did the same while covering "Caraphernelia" by Pierce the Veil which is a fast song but I did it like a slow acoustic folk song.. though never recorded that.

Re: Skumfuk (Acoustic Cover) ...Kinda
love the guitar, the vocals kinda sound like Beach Boys
I've been working on one myself thats stripped down. My guitar just doesn't sound that good to do power chords acoustic ...well let me rephrase that.....my fingers aren't use to it since I don't normally play power chords, so I make it sounds horrible..lol

I luld. So many people have no idea what auto tune actually sounds like and slate songs for using it.Really? Cause there's no autotune. Did you listen in HD? There is a big difference, the non-HD one may be misleading.spiROZE wrote:you're overusing auto-tune & voice editing programs or whatever it is
