Le langue Francais sens comme le merdre
I want to fly, Can you take me far away, Give me a star to reach for, Tell me what it takes, And I’ll go so high, I’ll go so high, My feet won’t touch the ground, its my wings, That pull the strings, I bought these dreams, That all fall down
Re: "Screaming Bloody Murder" Discussion!
did the description ever mention anything about why skumfuk is longer? as in, is there an extended intro or an extra verse/bridge or random sound effects at the beginning/end?
and no other site/person has heard the album yet? so far we've only heard from two sources; one who listed the tracklist and one that gave descriptions. i heard they're answering questions about the album today, so that should be informative as opposed to the interviews we've been hearing from.
i'm looking forward to this greatly though, no matter how many descriptions say anything about it. most descriptions are biased based on listening to other bands and comparing songs to other songs; for instance i think white crosses by against me had a lot of negative reviews by people who kept comparing it to older stuff, but i think that cd was great. i actually enjoyed underclass hero because i listened to it most of the summer of 2007 (or whichever year it came out) and even though it's not as dark as chuck or does this look infected, i thought it was more mature and had its own strengths. personally though, i think all killer no filler is my least favorite of the albums. still a great album, i'm just not into their older stuff as much as their new stuff.
i also think it's unfair to compare this screaming bloody murder album to old albums. it should be judged as it is; because i hope it has its own sound that none of the older albums have. both screaming bloody murder and skumfuk had their own sound that i didn't really want to compare with their older albums, so i hope the rest of the album is as strong.
and i used to take french in high school, but i've forgotten most of it. i wasn't even good at french while i was taking the classes, but when you learn a language, the only way you can really remember it is by using it with other people, though i'm sure if you were to go back to taking classes you can retain most of the language that you learn. i took two semesters of chinese class and i was able to remember most of the stuff i learned back in grade school, but it's been a year since those two semesters so i've forgotten a lot of it.

Re: "Screaming Bloody Murder" Discussion!
perhaps the idea of an epic, long song from sum 41 excites me. 2112, La Villa Strangiato, Cygnus X-1 etc, all great Rush songs that are 9 minutes and longer. when i heard that there was a 12 minute sum 41 song, i was very excited to hear it in order to compare it to some of the greats. perhaps, it may become one of my favourites.drummerlikestevo wrote:2712, it's kind of amusing you're sort of worked up. i don't mind explaining.2712 wrote:THIS. BAMM! BLOWN WIDE OPEN!!!Jeremy Kill wrote: @Lex, when you described "Epic" you said it repeated some parts near the beginning? Maybe like verses and choruses and then the rest of the song was bridge after bridge? I'm just wondering because if "Epic" is broken down to three songs, then a couple of those songs will have an odd arrangement, wouldn't they? Though if "Epic" did get broken down, it would make sense for the repeating parts in the beginning of "Epic" to not reappear at the end, otherwise you have two songs with the same parts.
Maybe, they are broken down into 3 songs on the record and they have no commonality between them, for that i raise the question to sum 41, "why the FUCK call it a SINGLE 12 minute SONG to begin with?" it's very misleading. but, i for one remain hopeful that the French reviewer got it wrong, he/she got the titles of almost every song fucked up! how can you fuck that up when you're looking right at the album!??! if they got that shit wrong, perhaps they misunderstood the whole numbering system of the album and labeled the parts of "epic" as separate tracks.
perhaps i am "worked up" over this, but i think it's better to be optimistic over something that be a complete downer like mike.

So from LA to Toronto, and back to LA, before leaving to Paris? They’ve got to head to L.A. to make their video for the first single “Screaming Bloody Murder†and then it’s off to Paris to start their first tour cycle of the year.
