Hey everyone:) I'm relatively new to TNS. I used to go to this site a lot for information on the Sums and whatnot, but I was never really aware of the forums 'till recently.
the way I first heard Sum 41 is actually really dorky, but when I was younger I used to be pretty much obsessed with Mario games, and I watched a flash video that had 'Still Waiting' playing during the fight scenes. I looked up the lyrics and fell in love with Sum 41 immediately.
I've changed a lot since then I think, instead of video games, guitar took my interest. I believe the first Sum 41 song I learned was probably Summer...but I also can play Makes No Difference, the Hell Song, In Too Deep, and Another Time Around, and Grab the Devil... The Hell Song is my favorite to play.
But anyway, yeah I'm new here, I like the idea of talking about my favorite band, they are a big reason to why I started guitar, and a small band and write lyrics like crazy. I listen to a wide range of music though, so I can talk about other bands besides the Sums. (I like the extremes from bands such as Dethklok, to Blink, to Elliott Smith, to All That Remains, to the Avett Brothers, to Assemblage 23, to Howlin' Wolf, to Guitar Wolf, etc...) So yeah, I'm open to any questions if anyone's interested, music's my life if you haven't noticed:)

Re: Just a bit of a noobie:P
Thank you! and oh I have haha:) I listened to it when it came out on 89x radio. I think it's great:) the song's really metaphorical too... I don't think it's necessarily bashing God, but when your world is falling apart you have to deal and realize that's how He planned it, which can be painful. I'm really looking forward to the album. the drums and guitar are so nice.

Re: Just a bit of a noobie:P
ahh really? Nice:) I learned Can I Play With Madness about 2 days ago, my first Maiden song, and a lonnnng time ago I learned the 'We Will Rock You' solo on guitar, they're both jammin' bands. I like Iron Maiden the most out of those two, Fear of the Dark is probably my favorite song.MetalMilitant41 wrote:Hi welcome My favourite bands are Queen and Iron Maiden

Paschendale is my favourite, have you listened to The Final Frontier? What do you think of it? I love When the Wild Wind Blows, just awesome. And Brian May is a god, i know loads of Queen bass lines, not too difficult though haha

Re: Just a bit of a noobie:P
well I actually haven't heard those... see I got into Iron Maiden for awhile, i had about 12-15 songs by them maybe, but I'm just getting back into them again and I'll be sure to look those up, and yes Brian May's pretty sick:) hahaMetalMilitant41 wrote:Paschendale is my favourite, have you listened to The Final Frontier?
