Sad, but true.
2010 was the first year for Sum 41 to NOT release anything physical.
2000 - HHOP
2001 - AKNF, ITD
2002 - Motivation EP, DTLI
2003 - DTLIT, SBAHE
2004 - Chuck
2005 - HLS
2006 - GCY
2007 - UH
2008 - 8 Years Of Blood
2009 - ATGS
Luckily there was Skumfuk. Without it being released online, it would've been a looooong year, especially when ATGS was released in early 2009.
They could've released a live CD/DVD last year. Afterall UH is the only era not covered in any official footages/recordings.
Hopefully this isn't a sign of the future, so that this was also the last gap year.

Always was released in 2008, along with 8 Years Of Blood compilation.Mr-David-Blues wrote:I was gna say what about Skumfuk lol wasn't always released in 2010? Or was it 2009 can't remember
Yeah, I didn't count Skumfuk since it was an online release, and not an official one by the label.

They probz won't release anything this year either.
Sum and Blink disappoint me, Justin Bieber released 4354544464454 albums and a movie in 2010 alone!

I wouldn't really call it a gap year, they might not have released anything musical but they did give us a shit lot of videos.

Re: The gap year of 2010
True, but Justin Bieber couldn't give a shit if it sounds good or not, he just wants money and knows his little fangirls will buy ANYTHING he puts out. Sum 41 and Blink 182 want us to have great music, so they take there time to perfect it.Madjid wrote:They probz won't release anything this year either.

I don't know if you can count both 8 years and atgs because it is basically the same greatest hits album. Just a different name and cover and release in different regions (8 years exclusive to japan and atgs available everywhere else)
Other than that, I get your point.

Well yeah, same with HLS/GCY. But at least they were some kind of releases.Raku wrote:I don't know if you can count both 8 years and atgs because it is basically the same greatest hits album. There were also some minor releases that I didn't mention, like the DeeVeeDee in 2008.
But yeah, the point was that there weren't any new material that I could go and buy from the shelves.
Re: The gap year of 2010
I'd rather have a new song released online than a greatest hits album released in Japan or whatsoever.

Re: The gap year of 2010
Wow, that kind of sucks! I hope they put out a live DVD or something. An album and a DVD this year would make up for the lack of not releasing anything in 2010.

Re: The gap year of 2010
Yeah, but I meant this thread is about Sums' own releases. Of course their songs have been part of many compilations and movie/video game soundtracks. I'm talking about physical releases by Sum 41 / Island Records.Boni Boy Blue wrote:Scumfuk was released on the Warped Tour Sampler, wasn't just online.
Did it ever come out? I haven't heard anything about it, other than the Amazon.com, which had no info in it.Simon wrote:What about that AKNF 10 year anniversary edition thing? Wasn't there something?

Re: The gap year of 2010
I get you know.
If All Killer, No Filler is getting a 10 year anniversary release then it would make sense to release it this year.
