Seems like their in for a Japanese tour, starting on the 17th of May.

so when are they going to do the us tour?
they'll be touring old mighty europe around february and mrach i think, too bad i cannot go to neither madrid nor bilbao this time

So far it's Europe in February, Australia in March, and Japan in May. So that leaves April empty, and if SBM gets released in March, I think April would be perfect for some North America touring.

And I think Summer would be good for some festivals, Warped and/or Euro festivals.

a question popped up in mind, will they be playing any new song apart from skumfuk?

Well if January is time for the single release, I think they'd play that one.
When UH the song came out, they played UH, KOC and CAFIMT live. But then again, they've said quite many times they don't like to play unreleased songs anymore.

Well, since they're touring again only in February and the single should be out in January, then it will be an already released song, and they should finally start actually promoting SBM on tour, so they should play the first single while touring in 2011. Then with the album's release, probably in time for this Japanese tour in May and the US tour that may follow..they should add more new songs to the set, or bring back No Reason!! They only played it like on 3 dates on Eastpak.. that sucks, I thought they're bringing it back for good.

I think the reason they dropped it out was how the crowd reacted to it. They played it as an opening track, and judging by the YouTube videos, the crowd was all ??? when they started to play it. I think they changed back to Hell Song to get the crowd pumped up more.

Well, got a message from Cone. The album is officialy coming out in March, but no date yet, you know.

We thought it was going to be out by then, but anyway, seems like they got the confirmation from IR after all.

My guess would be March 29th, because of all the other records coming out on the 15th.

Cone sent me a message saying

and that was on the 9th of december so 'soon' could be any day now........ or any year....

I hope that this time ''soon'' means they know when ...at least the month...and I hope it is December !

I guess I'm kind of surprised that they still plan on releasing the 12-minute song separate from the rest of the album. I figured by this time it'd be like, "Whatevs, album's coming out soon anyway, so just leave it till then."

Same, but they do sorta owe it after promising it in July or whenever it was, what keeps me happy is the thought that it could be tomorrow

I love the idea of the 12 minute song, that's for sure.

But with the single also being released 'soon', and Skumfuk that's like 17 minutes of the album allready!

I hope it won't ruin the rest of my SBM-experience.

Im going to laugh my ass off if Sum41 was just fucking with us and gave us a 3-4 minute song with 9 minutes of silence xD

Most likely it will be free but i would gladly pay 0.99 cents-1.29 for 12 minutes of sum 41 goodness.

Anyways, does anybody have any ideas on what this song might/should sound like? lol i would LOVE 12 minutes of epicness, it killing me because i never heard a sum song longer then 4:00 (not counting the Master Of Puppets cover) and i just wanna hear how it would turn out

cool. I won't mind if they do release the 12 min song as well as the first single, though I wouldn't want to hear any more before the album is actually released. I think I'm going to wait until the album is out instead of downloading the leak this time round, I do prefer to hear new albums that way after you've been counting down the days to the release! (sad I know!)

They said 14 when they were in the early stages of recording.. but Deryck decided to write and record a few more songs.. He has written more than 30 songs.. so they are able to release 2 albums if they want to..

Yeah, maybe he has, but there's a lot of stuff that wouldn't make the record. Like the song Cone wrote, or like the music that was playing in one of the early updates "I don't know if the music you're hearing right now will even make the record".

So yes, he has written many songs, but that's not a certitude for a lot of songs on the album. Unfortunately.
