So, the Damned Things, that Fall Out Boy/Every Time I Die/Anthrax supergroup has finally released their debut album, and let me you, it's pretty awesome. I mean, it's just this really fun, fast and catchy southern-influenced heavy metal/hard rock. You've got Keith from Every Time I Die singing mostly clean, maybe throws in a scream here or there but mostly just this ruspy clean vocals from him, although it sometimes reminds of Chad Kroeger from Nickelback.
Anyway, the album is not that long and it has 10 tracks which just flow together with catchy choruses, cool and heavy a-la-Anthrax-metal verses and some cool solos, mostly by Joe Trohman ,and who knew he can solo when he was in FOB.
Anyway, I really recommend this album, it's awesome and just fun! Nothing that haven't been made before, but just some fun rock!
Recommended songs: Friday Night (Going Down In Flames), Little Darling, We've Got a Situation Here.
The music video for the first single "We've Got a Situation" was released already and it's pretty fuckin' cool and funny:

I've been eager to hear their album from some time after hearing some of their songs of their MySpace page.

It's weird now how I'm beginning to have more respect for people (Joe) from bands I used to hate (Fall Out Boy) when I was 15/16.

Yeah, Joe is pretty awesome in here. I don't like FOB, but I guess now its cause Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump are writing everything there and it sucks. Most of this Damned Things album was written solely by Joe and Rob Caggiano, with some stuff also by Keith and Scott Ian, but mostly just Joe and Rob, so it just shows how much of this music is the influence of Joe.Jeremy Kill wrote:It's weird now how I'm beginning to have more respect for people (Joe) from bands I used to hate (Fall Out Boy) when I was 15/16.

Just started listening to it and only half way through, but I'm really loving this album! Handbook and Friday Night are some definite favorites so far. Ah, so glad I've got another album to enjoy while waiting for Screaming Bloody Murder!
