I'm studying Translation, and one of the aspects we're gonna do is accents, we started with cockney which is fucking weird, scottish goes next.
I personally find it amusing, i mean you guys(english speaking people) can't barely understand each other

I think Lee Mack did a piece on Geordies on Live at the Apollo ages ago, Youtube it :).Bobby Sumfan James wrote:the Welsh is the best accent, on a hot bird anyway. Scouse & Geordie are pretty funny too.
this can happen alot. Essex girls can be the same, with their fake cockney accents.Jake! wrote:I saw a perfectly doable girl today. However when she started talking I was repulsed by her west country accent.
how can anyone pretend to speak cockney?? no offense but imo it's probably the worst accent i've ever heardBobby Sumfan James wrote:this can happen alot. you wouldn't believe the amount of people that put on that accent, it's the official chav accent. I know plenty of people who have lived in Lowestoft (over 100 miles away from London, we all talk like farmers here) all their lives yet over the last 5 years have developed a (poor) cockney accent. it wouldn;t surprise me if it's the same where Jake lives.Still Waiting wrote:how can anyone pretend to speak cockney?? no offense but imo it's probably the worst accent i've ever heardBobby Sumfan James wrote:this can happen alot. It's pretty much the same except for the fact there aren't that many.Bobby Sumfan James wrote:you wouldn't believe the amount of people that put on that accent, it's the official chav accent.
