It only takes about 6 weeks for a mastered record to hit the shelves. There's about 19 weeks of this year left.

Re: "Screaming Bloody Murder" Discussion!
The main reason I believe the album is not out sooner is because they are on tour at the moment.sum54184 wrote:Let's just hope it's coming out early 2011 not summer\fall then 2012Gregorovich wrote:They said themselves there is a chance of a 2011 release. Yeah, things are looking bleak for an album release, but looking at their MySpace, there's a gap in shows from September 12 to October 27. So the album could possibly be released during that time?

I believe that the album will be released this year. Why wouldn't it? Them being on tour wouldn't really affect it.

Well when they played quebec city 1 and a half week ago some newspaper interviewed Stevo and he said that right now they were looking at a 2011 release...and I truly believe it.41salute wrote:Explain, please.vill_chouine wrote:The album isnt gonna come out before 2011

Re: "Screaming Bloody Murder" Discussion!
Everyone is hyping up this album (including Sum 41 themselves) but saying the same thing OVER AND OVER again in interviews about how different it is yet we have no fucking (pardon my language) clue as to when it's coming out, and sort of single release, album cover, etc. This album was supposed to be out in 2009, and now we're looking at a 2011 release? That is so bullshit that they need to stop making video updates and drinking and instead focus on releasing Screaming Bloody Murder and serving the fans what they want to hear.

Re: "Screaming Bloody Murder" Discussion!
If its gonna be out in 2011, they at least should release some info.. I dunno, like a single, album cover art, tracklist, etc... something to hold us until the release... It kinda looking for a 2011 release now cuz if its gonna be out in October like they said before, they then need to start releasing stuff about the album... cover art, tracklist, single, etc... and its not happening.

The only problem is we've been waiting a while now...

Why do a major headlining tour if you don't have anything to support?PTswim41 wrote:Jeremy Kill wrote:Yeah, things are looking bleak for an album release, but looking at their MySpace, there's a gap in shows from September 12 to October 27. So the album could possibly be released during that time?

That's like saying why have sex unless you're trying to make a baby?

Yeah, they only did 30 min set in Warped Tour and they haven't even been on the main stage there... at the Eastpak Antidote Tour they are the headliners so I bet they will do at least a hour long set if not longer.

Re: "Screaming Bloody Murder" Discussion!
There is a lot more that goes into releasing an album than mix/mastering. Its basically up to the label and management at this point41salute wrote:Explain, please.vill_chouine wrote:The album isnt gonna come out before 2011

Re: "Screaming Bloody Murder" Discussion!
Didn't management set an aug 31 release date? Steve said it wasn't mixed, and deryck said it was only up to the label to release it... someone's lying, I hate how their treating fans like pawns, it's really disrespectful.
And does anyone else find it ridiculous that it's taken more than 2yrs to make a sum 41 album?
The idea of them playing for an hour on a european tour after they couldn't pull off 30 minute sets on warped tour is going to turn into a disaster.
Also them headlining a tour with nothing to tour under, would mean no-one would show up, they've been off the radar for awhile musically.
