I'm surprised that Hell Song didn't make it. Last year it did way better.

American Idiot, the album and song were huge. EVERYONE was obsessed with it over in the UK and that's rare.. there hasn't been anything else that big since.

The emo kids came out and got Welcome To The Black Parade to Number 1. Kings of Leon exploded all over the UK with Sex on Fire and Use Somebody. Apparently at Reading last year after they played those two songs alot of the crowd walked off XD. Oh and don't forget the Rage Against The Machine business. These are the only things that come close to that (if not surpass it).
But now this country is obsessed with Dubstep (which no one can dance to without look like a complete spanner), manufactured boy/girl bands, reality TV produce (like the X Factor), Lady Gaga and noises that sound like a computer screwing up.
But still, we have Iron Maiden.

Too bad Sum 41's songs didn't rank higher. :(
Oh well, atleast Rage made it into the top 10, which is strange, considering Renegades of Funk is pretty old AND a cover.

I am not an Emo kid ...but I like MCR ...the song Welcome to the Black Parade is a master piece for me ...Awesome lyrics ..."Will you defeat them your demons, and all the non-believers,the plans that they have made" ..."son when you grow up would you be the savior of the broken, the beaten and the damned" ..I don't know why should we take shit on a song that sounds good and it's lyrics are simply great ...especially the part about defeating your demons ...everyone has his own demons ...I don't know ...for me,this song is awesome ...it deserves to have some credit ...Zell1010 wrote:The emo kids came out and got Welcome To The Black Parade to Number 1.

Re: Top 200 of the Millennium Results
I didn't really expect them to get much better rankings than that, but imo they actually did pretty well. They had 3 songs in the first 100 and Still Waiting was the 105th. They could've had just one song with a ranking like 195th or something.. That wouldn't have been all that great, but still even if that had been the case, at least they would have made it to the list.

Look, Green Day did well because they're in the public eye, and Sum 41 is not. They still did decent considering anybody who isn't a die-hard fan has forgotten about them.
