Post by Gregorovich »

So what do you guys think about the new LP album, artwork and lead single? Has anybody here submitted a remix to The Catalyst?

Well ATS is coming out in September, and the first single, the Catalyst, is being released August 2nd/3rd. Mike Shinoda sent out samples from the single for people to make a remix with and send in as part of a competition. Oh, and a couple of days ago the artwork was released- look it up. It's... Interesting.

I haven't listened to the new song yet. I'll probably get around to it later when I have the time, but I kind of lost interest with Linkin Park after Minutes to Midnight. I didn't like the singles off that album and so I never bought it.

Well actually it hasn't been released, just distorted fractions of it. Actually I have high hopes for this album- LP say it is nothing like MTM. Green Day, Sum 41 and LP all deciding to go backwards now...

Oh, and now a tracklist. I wish Sum 41s label let them release this much info...

A Thousand Suns

1. The Requiem
2. The Radiance
3. Burning In The Skies
4. Empty Spaces
5. When They Come For Me
6. Robot Boy
7. Jornada Del Muerto
8. Waiting For The End
9. Blackout
10. Wretches And Kings
11. Wisdom, Justice, And Love
12. Iridescent
13. Fallout
14. The Catalyst
15. The Messenger

Breaking the Habit is still one of my all time favourite songs but as with Jeremy Midnight to Minutes wasn't their best work.

Minutes to Midnight was shit, and I have a feeling that this album's gonna be even shittier than that. The first two albums are ok.

Judging by the titles I'd say it's going to be a concept album. Mainstream pop bands can never pull them off. And yes that includes Green Day.

Although 21CB wasnt too successful, you can't say American Idiot wasn't one of the most influential and successful albums of the decade.

Also, a 34s preview of The Catalyst is available on YouTube. I really don't know what to think of this album. It could go either way at this point. I'll wait till it actually comes out before I judge it.

Both first albums were masterpieces. Hybrid Theory went Diamond for god sake, epic.

I loved "Nobody's Listening" on Meteora, Mike can fucking make beats and rap. I wish he'd just make a street rap record, none of that "Fort Minor" stuff.
