They're pretty much a guilty pleasure of mine. Their guitarist is really good.

He did when i saw them at a emo festival. I only went to see Less Than Jake and then they were playing, so why not watch them aswell?

I saw them at Download in 2007 and they were awful, they just sounded horrible and he couldn't sing live. saw them a week later supporting Muse and they were even worse! the guitarists sounded ok and were really lively, it's just Gerrard Way, he sounds awful! plus he made about 20 speeches during the set which got really tiring. the drummer was pretty pants as well.

Yeah, I can easily seeing Gerard as the weakest link of the band when they play live. A lot of his singing on the album seems really hard to replicate in real life.

Not really on topic, but I listened to Welcome to the Black Parade last night before bed and... holy shit, it's like a totally different song than I remember. It was epic. Though, I had to step away from the emo labels and the kinds of fans that have been into MCR in order for me to see the song in a new light. That song is just an adventure.
