If Sum 41 did a "Part 2" to one of their songs, what song would you want it to be? How would you imagine the song to sound?
For me, I'd like No Reason Part 2. It would be an acoustic/piano type of ballad and little homages paid to the first song (ie. piano playing a main riff, lyrics from original sung in the background or maybe just key lines). I haven't relearned piano or have an acoustic guitar, but if I had those things, I'd probably try and actually write this song.
A Song, Part 2

It certainly would not be Underclass Hero.
I'd like them to go back and make a longer "Slipping away" with a recording sound of just deryck and an acoustic guitar. if anyone here listens to thrice, with the sound of of their song "moving mountains" and old timey-playing in the hallway sound.

Either No Brains or Mr. Amsterdam, or even The Hell Song. Could be awesome!

I would love to hear Walking Disaster part 2. "Mom and dad still in denial, blah blah blah blah blah.."
Nah jk, I don't know, Slipping Away pt.2 would be pretty sweet, because the original was way too short.

This is hard.. I'd kinda like to hear exactly what Jeremy said but then again I feel like Slipping Away is too short.. Haha, I can't make up anything on my own, but let's just say Slipping Away.

A longer version of ANIC. That would be so rad. An actual hardcore song in the vein of Rise Against's State of The Union.

I really agree about Slipping Away! I can totally see it continuing, even into something bigger, some hardcore song, I dunno, or something cool, with string arrangements and piano and stuff like the original, although I think its pretty cool if it'll have a part 2 which is gonna be like a heavier song and Slipping Away would almost be like an intro to it.

Yeah when I read this I immediately thought of finishing Slipping Away..like a longer version. That song is amazing and I wish it was longer. Maybe try to add the end of 88 and Hooch to it?

Re: A Song, Part 2
As soon as I read the first post, I thought nearly the exact opposite of what everyone here has. Slipping Away is a strange, boring, and repetitive deviation from the Sum 41 style. I would love to hear another part of Pull the Curtain, Still Waiting, (perhaps an answer that he has been waiting for?) or a flip-side to Best of Me. Now that he has tasted the married life, ending in heart-break, it would be an interesting twist on the previous song.

I don't know what everyone has with Slipping Away either. That song is on the dead bottom of my Sum 41 favorite songs list, but that still doesn't mean I don't like it. I will have to say though that I haven't listened to that song all the way through more than 5 times.
