Those backup vocals sound awesome even though you can't hear them really well..
but if you would delete those backing vocals the song would probably sound really different..

to answer the original question, yes Pieces has multiple vocal layers, I listen to it constantly. I don't think its different lyrics, but certainly harmonies

When you hear those different layers you realise how much effort they put in just one song..

I still have this kinda instrumental version of it on my computer. At the end you can clearly hear the 2nd (or 3rd, as you want) voice. It's on octave higher, it's just cool to hear.

I'll upload it in a minute.

Yeah, they do this all the time. The most obvious one is probably There's No Solution.

Exactly. And also in Pull The Curtain during "Bring on the panic" part.
I wonder why has he included them, if he doesn't want people to hear the lyrics of them. :silly:

Suffocate the dreams in my mind
(I can't stop believing)
Drown the thoughts that have me confined
(This life is hard to begin)
Gutter dreams as black as the night
(?)
No one told me empathy's a lie
(Lost in paranoia)

Suffocate the dreams in my mind
(my last words I'm choking, are all my dreams broken)
Drown the thoughts that have me confined
(the silence is deafening, my ears won't stop ringing)
Gutter dreams as black as the night
(my last words I'm choking, are all my dreams broken)
No one told me empathy's a lie
(the silence is deafening, my ears won't stop ringing)

here you go.. only one line missing! after listening and listening :p
I used to cover this song with my band and listened to it constantly to get the backing vocals which I had to sing. I'm fairly sure these are the correct lyrics fro this part dude. I remember one time I posted these ones up and got hassle from a member cos he had another interpretation in his sig! :silly:

Suffocate the dreams in my mind
(I can't stop believing)
Drown the thoughts that have me confined
(Stop this heart from beating/bleeding)
Gutter dreams as black as the night
(Falling dead to Phobia)
No one told me empathy's a lie
(Lost in paranoia)

EDIT: I was going to post the correct ones, but decided to post them at the main site exclusively, so they wouldn't get tossed around. :winkwink:
I've spent hours to figure them out, so I don't want them to get stolen to other sites. :silly:

It's the third one that seems to have different opinions. It's not that hard to figure out if you listen to G-Man's instrumentals. But the second one is definitely "bleeding".

Isn't there another one that goes:

Are all my dreams broken
The silence is deafening
My ears won't stop ringing

I can actually listen to the backing vox by turning my headphones plug lil bit clockwise. I'm not even kidding!

Yeah, I can do that little trick with my CD walkman. I can't seem to do it with my iPod very well though. I have to be extremely gentle.

Pull The Curtain backing vocals by tab book:

I can't stop believing
Stop this hard from bleeding
My intentions were good
Lost in paranoia

My last words I'm choking
Are all my dreams broken?
The silence is deadening
My ears won't stop ringing

Sounds accurate, so Tomi you should check tab books. I've only UH, but I can browse it if you need help.

Word. I'll be forever thankful to the one who uploaded the scans of AKNF, DTLI and Chuck tab books to the server. But I haven't seen HHOP or UH books, so I just have to trust myself.

So yes, it would be a great help. Especially the backing vocals, but if you find some differencies in the main vocals too, that would be great.
