I just moved this topic into the Games section. As for roulette, I've never played. But I would always pick 23 or 32 because of the movie, "The Number 23."

Roulette is pure gambling. Overall the players lose, the house wins. No skill involved unless you play like everyday and develope a sense for where the ball will end up or are some kind of savant genius. I suppose it's fun when you're already wasted or as a fun/drinking/stripping game or something, at least that's the only reason I could think of for ever playing it, but I just get frustrated too easily to enjoy any kind of regular gambling or even just Poker, which is still a pretty challenging game for your mathematical and psychological reading skills, although it is basically also a chance-based game. But it is the way you handle your chances, what allows you to actually be better than someone else (there is still a lot of luck involved, which is why I quit playing online Hold 'em .. I just couldn't stand the occasional lucky idiot making bad calls and still winning most of the time)

Bottom line: You should never pay for gambling more than you are getting out of it. So, if you're having the time of your life or think it's worth the money/time because you're meeting nice people or whatever, then it's fine. Otherwise, it's idiotic.

in roulette, to increase your winning percentage, you decrease your winnings and increases what your loses. So that is why you need to play with a strategy. And well, I dont think it is a waste of money as long as you use money you would spend on any other night. Like, if youre goin partying and spend 100 bucks the whole night, well you can spend that money on that same night instead for going partying on the casino. a casino should only be a place for entertainment and not anything more, so going too much to one is just stupid as you said
