Re: The Sum 41 New Album Thread!
This entire topic was just a rick roll.
Re: The Sum 41 New Album Thread!
So I was going over all the updates again, and this is what I found out.
Studio Update 31, at the end of the vid we get a snippet of a potentially new song. "I don't believe, in ignorance no more, ourselves we deceive", right?
Now put on Studio Update 21 and listen to the riff Deryck plays from 0:03 till 0:12.
It's the same.
Well anyway, I don't know if this was posted yet, but if it was, I'm sorry.

on sum41.com they said the album is " bigger, darker, and more aggressive" than anything they've ever done........."anything" means that it could be even harder than chuck! I can't wait!

You're right! I'm interested in hearing that song in its full glory since it seems to stray far from that "pop-punk" kind of sound and more like the intro to Chuck.Lars wrote:So I was going over all the updates again, and this is what I found out.

Totally couldn't of said it any better myself! I thought the same. It reminds me of something that could of been on the Chuck album.Jeremy Kill wrote:You're right! Re: The Sum 41 New Album Thread!
Like Spider-man said, the new album will be heavier, faster, more aggresive,... than anything they've ever done.
Though, there will be some mellow stuff on it as well. But they classified that stuff under the name of 'intense', I guess.

Re: The Sum 41 New Album Thread!
There's definitely going to be at least two ballads on the album.
Re: The Sum 41 New Album Thread!
For sure. One of them was even described as 'single material'.
And then there was the piano ballad, which might be the same song.
Anyway, I'm stoked for a new studio update!

Great, then i have no beef with you. Though, there was NOT a single thing wrong with DTLI and it didn't have any ballads.Jeremy Kill wrote:No one said anything about ballads being bad.Jake-41 wrote:Whats wrong with ballads? Sum 41's ballads are great!

Re: The Sum 41 New Album Thread!
the problem sometimes with ballads is that bands just make them for the sake of having them......they're never good in that case. so I hope these aren't forced at all

I doubt this is the band to "force" anything. Other than direction, which they need to.

Re: The Sum 41 New Album Thread!
I don't like the whole deal with bands releasing their slow songs as singles. They usually doesn't represent the band and they attract the wrong people. Case in point, pieces.

Re: The Sum 41 New Album Thread!
I disagree. I dunno how one single can seriously attract somebody to a band. I mean, i like a few "Tool" singles, but other than those i think they're kinda shit.
Basically, i might like that song, but i don't like the band. It's how singles work.
