I think this is quite the neglected of the Sum 41 singles. In my honest opinion, i think this is one of their best songs, (my favorite of all) and easily their best music video.
Actually, one of the best music vid's I've ever seen to be honest. Just my opinion, share yours?
Some say, we're never meant to grow up.

I agree with everything you said.
This is the song that got me into Sum 41. I heard it from a friend coincidentally, and I always liked it, but never knew what it was. One day I decided to figure out about it, and from that day started my obsession with Sum 41.

I'm sure they never knew enough.
Yeah, I love this song too, everything. From the lyrics to the music video. It's soooo good.

Also, what a fuckin' shame it was that it didn't make the greatest hits.
Not that huge deal, though. i wish they would play it live again. There rarely ever did, though.

It's a great song. Honestly I used to not like it very much, but I think the acoustic version got me back into liking the song and now it's one of my favorite songs! I'm confused with the music video though.

This song definitely got me into Sum 41. It was the first song I heard from them and I played it all the time on my mp3 when iPods didn't blow up yet. I then got kind of sick of it for a while but I still love it a lot.

Couldn't. Agree. More.
It's so likeable that I think that's why Deryck kinda hates it

Pieces and Some Say are kind of alike, and since Pieces is more popular, I guess that's why they play only Pieces live.
But that doesn't explain why Some Say was left out from ATGS.
To me it seems that aside from All To Blame and Pieces, Deryck doesn't like Chuck songs that much.
(The lack of Some Say and No Reason in ATGS, and their setlists since 2007.)

Sounds like he plays it just because it's a single so he kinda has to.

Re: Some say, we're never meant to grow up.
Yeah some say defenitly is very good song. I probably didn't listen to it as much because pices was the other slow song and I liked it waaay more especialy the piano version. I rediscover it again and again on go chuck yourself and I listen to it for a while then I leave it alone again.
As good as it is on the other hand it didn't have any special meaning to me in all the time I've been listening to sum 41. I remember how I got into sum 41. A friend showed me this video of some people battling a dragon in some cave and there was still waiting playing in the background. I got such a adrenaline rush, at that time it didn't seem any music could be more pefect than that song. Hearing the rest of the album just got me more excited afterwards.
Ahh good times

Re: Some say, we're never meant to grow up.
It's so weird about this song..
It's like, what do i wanna listen to? Fat Lip, Still Waiting, Pieces, In Too Deep, etc...
Then your like, "Oh, hai.. I forgot all about this song" And you fall in love again. It's even better on GCY! And the acoustic version's awesome also.
It just goes a little un-gratified sometimes.

Re: Some say, we're never meant to grow up.
Some Say is one of my favorite songs from Chuck. It's much like a Handle This 2. I liked the music video even though I couldn't understand anything in it. I was hoping No Reason would be more than a radio single in the States though.
In terms of favorite music videos, I'd have to go with In Too Deep or Walking Disaster.

Re: Some say, we're never meant to grow up.
Well, the song is basically a rewritten Handle This with the sound and feel of Chuck (exact same chord progression in the chorus only in a different tuning and very similar arrangement of verse, chorus, verse, chorus, solo, verse, double-chorus). I didn't even notice that until I retuned my guitar and tried to play along as much as I could while listening through Chuck.
It's still a good song, but I like Handle This better mostly because of the beautiful guitar solo. The video is pretty cool though. I would put it in 4th place after Still Waiting, In Too Deep and With Me.

I love Deryck's guitar tone when he plays the song live on Go Chuck Yourself.
