to be fair, the band get's fuck all from the sale of an album anyway, no matter if you buy the CD or download off itunes. the band make their real money from touring and merchandise sales.

I'm still not into buying a digital copy of a record. Maybe they'll release it on vinyl aswell consider a lot of other bands are doing it.

This will MY first real Sum 41 record. I'm not sure how I'll react. Songs I've never heard, new direction, etc.

I might cry. On a side note, i will be downloading the leak. I don't have a CD player, other than my computer, and Xbox. I'll buy it when it drops, as i always have. But there's no Difference for me, as i don't have a CD player anyway.
I don't even know why I buy there CDs to be honest. All I do is rip into my computer and threw it in my waredrobe to never see the light of day again. I'd be cheaper off just buying the MP3 album off Play.com.
I really only buy CD's so I have a physical copy of it in my hands with the album art and all that junk. Plus, if I somehow lost the songs on my iTunes, I could always re-up them from the CD.

Although, it is so much easier to just buy from iTunes.
That's the only real reason why I buy CD's too.
Plus is just means alot more if you have an actual copy, IMO anyway.
I love reading the cd booklets and everything. Back to front, haha.

I do that too, haha. But only if they're actually booklets. I didn't really like how Chuck was a fold-out poster thingy. Mine just got wrecked too easily. If there's one CD in my entire collection that has the most damage to it, it's Chuck.

Yeah, that riff was badass. I couldn't agree with you more. But I'm going to try.

I really, really, really, agree with you times infinity.

Jake-41 wrote:But, technically the band doesn't receive any money unless it's i-tunes. I think, i have no idea.

Fact is, i should just buy off i-tunes.
Bands get a tiny percentage if you buy their stuff on itunes
if a song costs like £0.80 - £1.00 they will only get like £0.05 - £0.10 for the sale

the rest goes to Apple

Again, it doesn't sound Sum 41 at all.
But still, I like it.

I does a lil.

Like some mix of DTLI and Chuck.

In some way it reminds me of the bridges of Billy Spleen or Thanks For Nothing and I'm Not The One.
Not the way it sounds, but the atmosphere, the heaviness.

It reminds me of Thanks For Nothing and I'm Not The One like Lars said. They have very similar riffs.

And

I'm pretty sure Apple takes something like 20% Artist ~10-20% & record company takes the rest.

I think that would be true. Digital distribution is a much cheaper way to get a track out there since there is no manufacturing cost they don't need as big a cut of the profits.
