I doubt they finished all of those songs. Either Deryck just posted that number randomly, or more likely, some he scrapped/ replaced /reworked etc. Point being, were not gonna have ten bsides. If they do hve twenty three finished songs, they might as well put out a double album.

Yeah, true. Deryck said that the new album will most likely have 14 tracks, so I don't expect them to add any more. The previous albums didn't have more than 14 either.
Also, I'm afraid that we won't hear all the songs written. Remember, Subject To Change was never meant to be released, and the B-side for UH written by Cone wasn't released either, so it seems they have no problems of scrapping songs for good.

Was the clip heavy & what way D sang? When you said sounds like Muse do you mean it included like eastern scales in music or what? Did it had riff or was it just power chords !? :D

14. Was the songwriting process considerably different for this record?

Yes, completely. I feel like I didn't do any work although I somehow wrote about 23 songs without even noticing. It's a great feeling to have all these songs just sort of handed to you somehow.

So apparently they've got 23 songs written. This must include the songs the band has gone back into the studio to record? If that's the case, the new album is probably going to have more than 14 songs or we're going to get a poop-load of b-sides.

Maybe there doing a Rancid with a 19 track album :D

Or a Green Day.

But anyway... i just thought how cool it'd be if they brought back "Pain For Pleasure".
